Masked Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian villagers on Friday, setting olive groves on fire and slinging rocks. Caught in the attack was Post photographer Heidi Levine. “They just kept kicking me and kicking me, like probably 50 times,” Levine said. wapo.st/4yt6dHY

When being accountable to and transparent with the public boils down to official communication on social media….what a sad state. 👇👇👇

In a taped message, Christianne Amanpour tells viewers of her CNN International show “Amanpour” that she is leaving the network. While she hewed fairly closely to her statement, she added this: “You know that I’ve always been fiercely independent, and I will continue to be that for you for as long as I am here and beyond. That’s especially important today as we face unprecedented pressures from all sides — political, financial, and also from the rising dangers in the field.”

Media blaming is the name of the game. No matter what, find a way to smear journalists.
PS I’ve met Putin many times and listened in on calls with him as well. I also speak Russian. Yes he is soft spoken, deliberate, and measured. So what? He’s still a killer. He still launched a barbaric invasion of Ukraine, that has produced tragic loss of life not seen on this scale in Europe since WWII.

I wrote a full, detailed account of the October 16 settler and soldier attack on the olive harvest in Abu Falah. I think it may be the most important thing I’ve ever written. “The Palestinians Who Rescued Heidi Levine” Link in next tweet.

They started the Iran war together. They crack down on press freedom together. They lie about everything together.  Authoritarians of a feather flock together.

The facts are available for all who want to see. Stop lying, deflecting and smearing. Just #EndImpunity.
The IDF provided cover, with tear gas and machine guns, while the settlers beat @washingtonpost journalist Heidi Levine nearly to death. Then the IDF shot a Palestinian bystander, and aimed their guns and shoved the paramedics who were trying to treat him. All of this documented.

Secretary Marco Rubio on attack on WaPo: "First, obviously, we've seen the video, we've seen the media reporting about it. We have a process to handle these sorts of things, and if in fact it turns out to be what it appears was, you know that we have ways of communicating that to the Israelis about how we expect what that we would expect of them to prevent that from happening in the future. Again, the president doesn't want to see a crisis in the West Bank. We don't need that right now. Israel doesn't need that"

We appreciate the support we’ve gotten today for our photographer, Heidi Levine, after the brutal and unwarranted attack on her. We reiterate the call for action from the government. Press freedoms are a cornerstone for democracies.

Israeli settlers are out of control, because the Israeli government allows them to be. And while attacks on diplomats or journalists command attention, as they should, this happens unnoticed to Palestinian farmers all the time.

Masked Israeli settlers attacked a delegation of European diplomats and public figures, as well as Palestinian olive harvesters, in the Christian village of Taybeh near Ramallah on Saturday. The attackers also smashed a window of a Belgian consular vehicle, the reports said. 🔗Read more here: haaretz.com/west-bank/2026-1…

The facts are that @Heidiphotos had her rib broken, nearly lost a finger, and not a single assailant has been arrested.

Another case of the Israeli Army claiming they fired at a Palestinian running at them "posting a threat" who turns out was running away from them & unarmed. Unfortunately for the IDF, the NYT was on the scene to document the truth. nytimes.com/2026/10/16/world…

There’s an infamously violent outpost on top of the hill above Abu Falah. The village planned their olive harvest for yesterday morning on their land directly beneath the hill. Piecing these things together and showing up is called “journalism.” Hope that helps Richard.
How do “journalists” know to show up randomly to a location by the dozens and await filming and reporting on a clash that hasn’t happened but has been guaranteed? Who are these “journalists”? Did we learn nothing from Gaza and the endless lack of “media” accountability?
