Absolutely superb production of Sound of Music @PITLOCHRYft last night. The performances were spellbinding, the story beautifully nuanced and closer to the truth, music and staging outstanding, and best of all the theatre was full! Don’t miss it! pitlochryfestivaltheatre.com…

I thought this was pretty niche, and hadn’t been aware it existed! But delighted to see some events sold out. Others might appeal to @STGAGuides @EdinSTGAGuides either this year or worth looking out for next year.
It’s August and you know what that means – festival season is back! Join us and @scottradbuild the week of 20th August for the 12th annual Edinburgh Traditional Building Festival, part of @edfringe.

And still no weight limit! #Aberfeldy – at Scotland, United Kingdom
291 years ago today. Construction of the Tay Bridge, or General Wade's Bridge, over the River Tay at Aberfeldy in Perthshire began on 23 April 1733. It was formally opened in August 1735 and continues to carry traffic today. More pics and info: undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/a…
ALT The Tay Bridge at Aberfeldy. The image shows an ornate five arched stone bridge obliquely crossing a river with the right-hand end starting from the near bank. The central arch is decorated by tapering stone columns set into the parapet. Beyond the river is a tree-covered hillside.

After 28,674 nautical miles and 154 days at sea, our girl Maiden is home with her inspirational all-female crew, including the first women of colour to race around the world and our camerawoman who escaped the Taliban in Afghanistan. This truly international crew has changed the face of sailing and they stand for women and girls everywhere. They have made history and we could not be more proud of them! @maidenfactor #GirlPower

My favourite example of pareiodolia in Glasgow's architecture. For those who don't know, pareiodolia is the human tendency to see meaningful patterns where patterns don't exist, like seeing a face in the features of this tenement building on Dumbarton Road in Partick.

That moment you realize that your preschooler may be smarter than you. 🧠
Loving this little problem solver. Dad has told him he can pick out a small toy… one that “fits in his hand.”
Watch as he manages to find just the loophole he needs to get his way.
Too clever.
