BREAKING: JB Pritzker just announced he has WIPED OUT over $1.4 billion of medical debt for Illinois residents. This is amazing.
Elected to Serve…16 years ago I began my service to the Democratic Party to re-elect President Barack Obama. In the same room I was first trained, I was elected from 72 amazing candidates to serve as newly elected Add-on Committee Member for the DC Democratic Party. The stakes could not be higher and I’m honor to be a formal part of the party working to protect DC, Democratic policies and achieve statehood.

11 mile walk through the city was pretty amazing yesterday! I was able to explore Douglass, Anacostia, Congress Heights, Navy Yard, Capitol Hill, Trinidad, Union Market, H Street Corridor, Waterfront all in one day. I really love this city.

Not that she needs it, but this could be an interesting test of whether someone could demand that body camera footage be released to the public. (Note the camera on his chest.)
Also, this seems to speak to the very criticisms of federal agents wearing masks, no?
These speeding ticket fines are outrageous. There has to be a better way to deter speeding or incentivize safer driving in the District.

These speed limit infraction changes are now officially in effect, as of August 7, 2026!
Replying to @maustermuhle
Basically, D.C. is moving to clarify the speeding ranges that get you certain fines. Currently, anything from 11-15 mph over the speed limit is a $100 fine. But @DDOTDC wants to change it to "more than 10 mph" up to 15. Minor wording change, significant impact.
Well deserved, congrats @iamwesmoore !
We don’t need more time, just more focus.

Violence is not just a criminal justice issue—it’s a public health issue, a mental health issue, and a community issue.
Looking forward to sharing lessons from my experience as a gun violence survivor, former White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention leader, President of the Rocket Foundation, and Yale Executive MPH student.
