The machine does not show your post to your followers. It selects a tiny sample and watches for the first hour.
Sometimes that test is 15 views. Sometimes it is a few hundred. If that sample does nothing, the post is finished.
It already recognizes and likes slop. Faces. Dogs. Cars. Short Video. A joke that is familiar. A fake guarantee. It has seen those convert, so it gives those posts impressions. The Stupid picture I posted got 2300 views and it was labeled Algo Bait.
It does not recognize a fact check, a 2A story, or an argument from a 4 or 5 thousand follower account. Those posts are not banned. They are under-sampled. The model will not try to find out if they are any good.
I watched it on my own page. A post about Jordan Salinas — the armed citizen who stopped the In-N-Out killer — got about 100 views and died. It sat there all day. I quote-posted it. A couple of friends reposted it.
24 hours later: 83,000 views. Same words. Same account. The first test was too small to predict the outcome.
Same split another day. I had several posts at 10–20 views an hour. Then a short video of my daughter in my Tesla. 500 views in the first hour. That clip was not more important. It matched a format the sampler already trusts.
The sampler is a self-fulfilling prophecy. It gives impressions to what it already trusts. Those posts get the test, so they look like winners. Original posts get 15–100 viewers, so they look like losers. Next week people post more of what got the views. The sampler looks smart.
The algorithm does not care about innovation. A new idea catches on slowly, fades into nothing, or goes nuclear. The sampler does not care which. A big account can force the test. Their first sample is already large. A smaller account will not be seen without help. Not because the idea is weak. Because silence in a 15-person test looks like proof.
A like changes the color of a heart. That is almost all it does.
A comment gets some of the sampler’s attention.
A repost is as easy as a like and actually helps the post.
A quote with a real opinion is the strongest move. It is a new post. You get views. The original author does too. Everybody wins.
People think quoting or reposting someone else will hurt their own reach. It does not. That rumor has trained people to only hit the like button. A one-word “this” on a quote looks like a bot. A real sentence on a real post is the winning combination.
There is no haunted-house curse for helping posts.
What is real is overcrowding. Two of your own originals in the same hour split the test. Don’t launch a quote of someone else while your post is still surging. When it cools, spend that reach on accounts you want seen. Reach does not bank. If you keep it to yourself, it is wasted.
Large accounts: we are not consuming your resources. Ignoring smaller accounts does not help you. What helps you every day is smaller accounts spending their reach to give you a larger sample. If I am quoting or reposting you, I am lending you what I have for a short time. Return the favor now and then on a post that should have traveled.
If we are not training the sampler, it is training us. Originality is our job. Sampling is theirs. They will not spend more resources than they have to.
I hope this helps someone.
I was in Buc-ee's late last night after a ball tournament. Some young liberal looking women were playing Marco Polo. When I had enough I answered "Rubio" and set them all off. My wife says she can't take me anywhere...

The most practical advice I can offer is this:
Do everything in your power to suppress your feelings and harden your heart.
The future that is already taking shape will not accommodate softness, and I have seen enough of its contours to know it will not be kind.
In the world now being built, there is little room left for sentiment.
Those who hold power have spent years cultivating a carefully managed sense of security and comfort among the population.
While people were encouraged to remain passive and trusting, the same forces were quietly planning, coordinating, and eliminating those who stood in the way of a single, centralized system of control.
The project was never hidden so much as it was made difficult to discuss plainly.
Division has been one of their most effective tools. Roughly half the population has been turned against the other half, so that energy which might once have been directed outward is now consumed by mutual suspicion and hostility.
At the same time, a large share of people have been left waiting, sitting at home, praying for some external savior to appear and set things right, rather than recognizing that the responsibility to act has always rested with them.
What was intended, at least according to the older understanding of divine purpose, was freedom for all of mankind. All of mankind.
That ideal has been steadily replaced by managed dependency and enforced conformity.
The uncomfortable truth is that no one is coming to rescue you.
The structures that once provided a measure of protection have been weakened or redirected.
What remains is the choice each person makes about how clearly they see the situation and how prepared they are to live with the consequences of that clarity.
Softness, in this environment, is a liability.

Rise and shine, Buttercups! It’s finally the weekend. We’re already halfway through October.
The new press secretary Zacharia is out already. Wildfires are burning in California. AOC is donating over a million dollars to the El-Sayed campaign because if he wins, she runs for president.
If turnout is high for Republicans, we may have a chance come November 3rd. Remember, we want to go forward, not backwards.
What’s the big hype for the college games today? Any big games that anyone is looking forward to? Chiefs football 🏈. NFL Sunday tomorrow.
Have a great day, friends! TTYL 👋🏻🌞🌄

One thing I’ve never confused is being a Republican with being a conservative.
Republican is a political party. Conservative is a set of beliefs. Limited government, personal responsibility, family, freedom, and respect for the Constitution.
Politicians come and go. Political parties change. My beliefs don’t change with them.
Anyway, good morning. ☕️🐘
On December 1, Elon and SpaceX officially start building Terafab, the biggest building in human history.
Without it, there's no city on Mars.
A 100 million square foot chip factory in Grimes County, Texas (near College Station), more than 5 times the size of the largest building on Earth today.
- At least 2.5 miles long
- Nearly 3 Central Parks under one roof
- Brings its own power, off the Texas grid
- Every chip factory on Earth combined makes about 2% of what Elon needs
- Each year's chips will need twice the power of the entire US
- Chips for 1 billion Optimus robots, plus Cybercab, Grok and self-driving Teslas
- About 80% of the chips go to space
- The Moon: a city first, plus a magnetic rail that launches AI satellites into deep space
- Mars: robots land first to build, then people, in roughly 5 to 7 years by Elon's count
No chips, no robots. No robots, no city on Mars.
Most people would shrink the plan to fit the supply chain. Elon builds his own.
The next step to Mars isn't a rocket. It's a factory in Texas.
