That’s right @kevin_whitmore - Our groups are looking forward to 2020 with interest. Who knows best what an area needs than the people who live there?? If only the powers that be had listened earlier #GMSF #Community1st #NotDeveloperLed

Very serious issue because so much housing being placed in remote locations where buses are the only possible form of public transport.
The Bus services in England outside London report was launched earlier today. We found no evidence that the Government is taking practical action to tackle the decline in bus services. Read the full report here: publications.parliament.uk/p…

This event looks interesting. It is not GM wide. Aimed at those in the development industry. Ticket are £180 (ouch). Would love to be a fly on the wall to this ‘critical theme’ “Is politics too involved with planning?” Our thoughts.... m.youtube.com/watch?v=EA7iMI… #GMSF2019

Boroughs close to you are in the same boat. Rochdale, Salford and Bury. Not many areas across GM have escaped the plan. We will be meeting with @AndyBurnhamGM & groups across the @greatermcr region to discuss the consultation. DM @OurRoyton who will be representing your area.

Queensferry Rd & St John's Rd are 2 & 3 worst for nitrogen dioxide pollution in Scotland & Queensferry Rd for particulates yet @ScotGovPlanning & @planningedin want thousands of new homes here #savecammofields #barntongridlock. Think again.

61 acres of recreational space, with open access to the #public. Here's our inclusive, open, affordable, sustainable (& beautiful) option for #WarrenFarm. Let's keep it for ALL the local #community, not just a privileged few. #publichealth #mentalhealth #Ealing @MichaelRosenYes

Local authorities with Green Belt land have enough brownfield land for 720,000 homes – yet our Green Belt is being lost at its fastest rate ever. There are viable alternatives to meeting housing need – let’s use them. #StateoftheGreenBelt RT if you agree. buff.ly/2n7qxNJ

'Developers are carving up our countryside to build homes normal families can’t even afford – and the Government is letting them get away with it.' Good take on our report that shows building on Green Belt is not solving housing affordability crisis inews.co.uk/opinion/comment/…

Building thousands of houses in #ourgreenbelt does NOTHING to improve affordability or meet genuine local housing need. It does, however, generate more profits for the big developers. Green Belt countryside, once built on, is lost forever. #NeedNotGreed @cpre @cpresurrey
Finally a Conservative MP @trussliz recognising the need to re look at the designation of the Green Belt! This is nothing new, the need for housing and the Uk to start building again in the South is real! We need people to understand the plight for those unable to buy or rent!

But they’ll have a nice break so that’s ok..?! – at Yorkshire and The Humber, England
"Shortly" in Whitehall-speak can mean anything from "tomorrow" to "6 months time". But all too often the most unpopular announcements come out the day before the summer recess.
