The BBC first broadcast Choral Evensong on 7 October 1926 in a service live from Westminster Abbey. On the exact date of the 100th anniversary, the programme returns to the Abbey this afternoon for a celebratory service to mark the occasion.

Prachtig nieuws! @MinPres Rob Jetten zal zondag spreken in Rotterdam bij de onthulling van het nationale monument voor de Molukkers.
Alleen dit bericht al doet goed!
Het zou geweldig zijn als de Nederlandse regering een gebaar maakt naar de Molukkers in ons land. Als burgemeesters hebben we hier jaren geleden al om gevraagd.
En wanneer is een beter moment dan dit jaar? Het jaar dat het 75 jaar geleden is dat de Molukkers met schepen aankwamen in Rotterdam.
Het verblijf zou voor een half jaar zijn. Zo werd verwacht en beloofd. Het liep anders.
En de ontvangst had ook anders gemoeten.
Ik ben blij met onze Ambonese Molukse gemeenschap in Leerdam. Het zou goed zijn het leed dat al generaties pijn doet te erkennen.
