I am here in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia alongside colleagues from across the continent, participating in the Africa-wide official launch of World Vision’s #ENOUGH campaign. Today, we raise our collective voice against child #hunger and #malnutrition. We are saying ENOUGH. Every boy and girl should have ENOUGH nutritious food to thrive. In Somalia 🇸🇴at least 8 million are in need of humanitarian assistance, over 5 million of them are #children. We are committing ourselves to do more.

Already the worst humanitarian emergency in the world, the people of #Afghanistan are hit again. @worldvision has been responding from the first hours. We are so proud of our staff who have been directly effected yet are committed to helping others. #earthquake

"The situation is worse than we imagined with people in devastated villages still desperately trying to rescue survivors from under the rubble with their bare hands.” - Thamindri de Silva, National Director in Afghanistan
We're working closely with partners and authorities to scale up our #EmergencyResponse in food, water, child protection, and more.

At the #SDGSummit, I just addressed world leaders on accelerating actions toward our collective goals. I shared stories of children we serve, facing multiple & growing crises. Progress on hunger, nutrition & education has stalled. We must unite to say ENOUGH, and #ActNOW. #UNGA78

Fantastic, inspirational and critical to kick off Day 2 of #UNGA78 with an event led by children & young people themselves. We are listening to their valuable perspectives on child rights, as they help shape the agenda. #joiningforces

We are establishing operations in newly accessible locations to support people living here with emergency assistance, transition into recovery and hopefully towards development. None of this is possible w/out your generosity. Thanks @WFP_UNHAS for taking us there. #partnerships
