Now is not the time to look away from Gaza. It is time to step up, sustain this support, protect the progress made, and push for early recovery.
My conversation with @Reuters: reuters.com/world/middle-eas…
Life in Gaza remains brutal. WFP is being forced to cut monthly assistance for half a million Palestinians just as winter begins, when we should be scaling up.
Near one of the meal kitchens in Gaza, I spoke with @AP about what this means for families.

This #WorldFoodDay, let’s turn solutions into action.
The solutions to get ahead of hunger already exist. With innovation, partnerships and resources, we can reach people faster and help communities prepare for the shocks ahead.
Hear from Acting @WFPChief @CarlSkau 👇
The weapons may have changed, but the rules have not. Parties to conflict must still abide by IHL.
At today’s #Brussels aid worker protection conference: we need systematic state backing and an end to impunity, in words and action. Thanks @eu_echo and @Ireland2026EU for convening
Delighted to welcome #Kenya as the 4th Co-Chair of the @SchoolMeals_ Coalition!
Kenya has seen some of the biggest growth in #SchoolMeals delivery across Africa in the past years.
@WFP will support its national scale-up and help carry its experience across the region & beyond.
📣 Welcoming #Kenya as the 4th co-chair of the #SchoolMeals Coalition, joining #Brazil, #Finland & #France in leading the Coalition's next chapter!
🌍 From expanding national coverage to strengthening policy and financing, #Kenya brings valuable experience and political leadership to the Coalition's efforts to advance school meals worldwide.
🎯 Together, the 4 co-chairs will help drive collective action towards ensuring every child has access to a healthy meal at school.

Amid global crises, @SchoolMeals_ show progress against hunger is possible.
110+ governments. 160+ partners. Proving that partnerships can ensure every child has a healthy school meal by 2030.
At today’s Task Force 3rd Ministerial Meeting, we plan the next phase of action.
Central African Republic is doing everything right: building up local food systems, supporting farmers, investing in school meals. @WFP is at the forefront of these efforts. But without support, this progress could reverse. The world must step up for peace and development.
Excellent meeting with H.E. President @FA_Touadera in Bangui, following our #UNGA talk on the impressive national development plan, built on sustainable food systems and local empowerment. @WFP is a committed partner, starting with school meals. Glad to be here, working together.
On 2 Oct, one of our @WFP colleagues detained in Yemen was released. I am relieved that he is reunited with his family.
My thoughts remain with all the humanitarian staff still detained, 37 from WFP. We continue all efforts to secure their immediate and safe release.
Horrific. A driver was killed while delivering food to families in Kadugli. The truck was clearly marked as humanitarian.
We mourn his loss and extend condolences to his family.
This is outrageous. Accountability and respect for humanitarian workers must be ensured.
Millions of Yemenis are facing increasing hunger and displacement while growing insecurity and inadequate funding are making it difficult to deliver assistance.
@WFP has been providing support but stocks are depleting. Without renewed funding, people will lose that lifeline.
Families in #Yemen are fleeing escalating fighting, some surviving on bread and soup made from whatever they can find.
WFP’s @mfjhollingworth explains how teams are scaling up, and why urgent funding is needed before stocks run out. ⬇️
The world is facing a perfect storm of hunger while humanitarian funding is declining.
I spoke with @CGTNOfficial about Gaza, Somalia, Sudan & how we are working with partners like #China & private sector to find solutions.
