I asked in the Lords why the government leaves out the costs of extra grid, backup gas power costs, and payments to windfarms not to produce sometimes, when talking about the cost of renewables. No answer.

This Labour Government has got its priorities dangerously wrong. While welfare spending rockets out of control, they are cutting £2 BILLION from the Army's frontline equipment. An absolute disgrace.
telegraph.co.uk/politics/202…
At a time when the threats to Britain are greater than they have been for decades, Labour is stripping away vital military capability.
The first duty of any government is the defence of the nation. Yet Labour refuses to get a grip on runaway spending while finding cuts to our Armed Forces. What sort of government thinks that is acceptable?
This is a government that has lost control of spending and is now putting Britain's security at risk. Our Armed Forces deserve far better than this dangerously incompetent Labour Government.

20 dead calves in less than 3 months – the Danish state press remains silent!
Today marks 7 months since the first calf caretaker reported sick and dead calves due to the waste product from Bovaer – NOPA 3-Nitrooxypropionic acid. She experienced 20 dead calves in less than 3 months of Bovaer use. Nothing negative happened to calves that did not receive Bovaer milk.
Since then, two other calf caretakers have reported the same problems. And the same solution: do not give calves Bovaer milk!
And the state press, which is otherwise quite capable of writing about and producing documentaries on animal welfare in pig production, has in 7 months not mentioned the sick and dead calves with a single word. Not a single word!
It is obvious that there have been major lies about the Bovaer poison and the reason for its introduction, and the claim that nothing went into the milk died in February 2025. The claim that the Bovaer poison is supposed to be safe and effective, is also stone cold dead.
NOPA 3-Nitrooxypropionic acid, the waste product from the Bovaer poison that ends up in food, is claimed – while it harms and kills calves – to be harmless for humans to consume.
EFSA is now reassessing the approval of the Bovaer poison, which otherwise rests on the Bovaer poison producer’s own experimental data. It is also from this producer that the claim that NOPA 3-Nitrooxypropionic acid is harmless comes.
Sick and dead calves due to NOPA 3-Nitrooxypropionic acid, while EFSA is reassessing the approval of the Bovaer poison, is mysteriously not something the state press finds that the Danish population should be informed about.
First article on the subject from the honorable Jens Mogensen @Jenbas1 , who with the independent media Psst-nyt.dk has reported on the Bovaer poison scandal throughout. Article from March 20, 2026:
psst-nyt.dk/whistleblower-ka…
Only Psst-nyt.dk and media from other countries write about the sick and dead Bovaer calves.
It has now happened in at least 7 countries and thus in 7 different languages!
Meanwhile the Danish left-leaning state press is just as silent, as the many dead calves.

The IRA were terrorists, not soldiers. Their campaign of murder and bombing was not a war of equals, and no amount of historical revisionism will ever make it so. Labour’s Northern Ireland Troubles Bill risks allowing the IRA to rewrite history while British veterans face the prospect of being dragged through investigations decades after serving their country.
Where is the accountability for the IRA? Where are the answers from the Irish Government about those who fled across the border, the support they received and the supply of weapons?
I served in the British Army. My friend, Captain Robert Nairac, was murdered by the IRA. His body has never been recovered. His family still deserves to know what happened to him and where he lies.
The IRA cannot be allowed to portray its campaign of terror as justified by the Good Friday Agreement. Peace does not retrospectively legitimise murder. There is no moral equivalence between terrorists and those who served to uphold the law.
This Bill is a betrayal of our veterans and of families still waiting for the truth.

Labour betray our veterans
Today MPs will vote on Labour's Northern Ireland Troubles Bill.
It tears up the 2023 Legacy Act and opens the door to fresh investigations and civil claims against our brave veterans, decades after they served Queen and Country, fighting against IRA terrorists.
How can this country ever ask people to serve their country if the government refuses to protect them?
I voted against this proposal in November and will do so again. We have a duty to stand by our veterans! 🇬🇧

The historic Limoges Town Hall in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of south-central France.
A bunch of masked cowards burned down a 143-year-old civic landmark that survived two world wars. That’s not a protest. That’s moronic cultural vandalism. They torched the shared memory of a city, then scurried off into the night. Despicable.

It’s immoral to pardon the IRA, a terrorist organisation that deliberately targeted innocent people, then pursue our soldiers who were acting on orders, on the say so of Dublin or Sinn Fein

It’s a disgrace the way we are treating our armed forces
Labour has cut £2bn from front-line Army equipment as John Healey tries to fill a defence spending black hole in his first Budget.
The Ministry of Defence has dropped plans to develop three new battlefield vehicles, including one that would have been capable of recovering Britain’s Boxer armoured vehicles if they were damaged in combat.

Pathetic, meaningless address from President Macron to the people of France tonight. The anger here is palpable. I have written what it all means in a column in tomorrow’s Daily Mail. L’agonie de la France is set to continue and Macron is now an irrelevance.

A flag-draped coffin is carried through a historic courtyard by uniformed pallbearers, mourners standing in solemn tribute on either side. Images like this remind us that the freedoms we often take for granted come at the ultimate cost for some.
Supporting our armed forces isn’t just about remembering the fallen on one day a year — it’s about honouring their sacrifice through how we treat veterans, serving personnel, and their families every day.

Today, the Northern Ireland Troubles Bill is returning to the House of Commons.
Through this Bill, Labour is putting Dublin at the heart of efforts to investigate the Troubles, despite its deeply troubling record of failures, collusion, and unanswered questions.
Meanwhile, British veterans face the prospect of investigations for the rest of their lives.
This is a grotesque inversion of justice.
The victims deserve the truth. Our veterans deserve justice. Neither should be sacrificed for political convenience.
