NAIROBI HOSPITAL WOES BOIL OVER — COFEK ACTION NOW BECKONS
♦️ Kenya's premier hospital is now run by a Board that, on paper, does not exist.
♦️ The Registrar of Companies' official search as at 12 October 2026 shows NONE of the persons "elected" at the 25 August AGM, or co-opted on 8 September, has been registered. Only one director appears on record.
♦️ Yet 13 people continue to sit, chair, vote and decide — on a multi-million HMIS/ERP contract, capital procurement, three executive appointments, borrowing, and even pension and provident funds.
♦️ The facts, per the doctors' advocates, Muma & Kanjama:
▪️ The AGM and co-option were held in the face of subsisting court orders of 5 Nov 2025 (HCCOMM E787 of 2025) — never varied, never set aside
▪️ Members got 12 days' notice instead of the 21 required by the Articles and s.281 of the Companies Act
▪️ No 2025 accounts were circulated
▪️ The Register of Members has been withheld despite repeated demands
▪️ Search warrants were issued at Milimani in Misc. App. E1069 of 2025 to investigate alleged fraud and mismanagement of hospital funds
A 7-day ultimatum is now running. Each purported director and the Company Secretary has been put on notice of personal liability.
♦️ This is no longer a boardroom squabble. It is a patient-safety, consumer and public-interest crisis. Patients pay. Doctors are locked out. Pensioners' money is exposed. Acts done in defiance of court orders are a nullity — and every shilling spent without mandate must be accounted for.
♦️ COFEK is reviewing the record with a view to appropriate action to protect patients, members and the public interest.
♦️ Nairobi Hospital belongs to its members and the public it serves, not to a self-appointed Board.

This Kenya Kwanza regime has officially exhausted all its ideas. After four years of promising to transform agriculture, create jobs and lower the cost of living, they have now discovered that the solution to Kenya’s milk problems is the water buffalo.
Jonathan Mueke, the Principal Secretary for Livestock Development, is busy selling Kenyans the idea of buffalo milk, which apparently has a higher butterfat content, as though the biggest problem facing our dairy industry is that ordinary cows have refused to produce sufficiently creamy milk.
Our farmers are struggling with expensive animal feeds, shrinking grazing land, veterinary costs and unpredictable milk prices, but somewhere in government, people are sitting in air-conditioned offices discussing how water buffaloes might rescue the dairy sector.

What does it mean to grieve the Holy Spirit?
Paul uses that language in Ephesians 4, one of the chapters we read today in Bible in One Year.
First, keep in mind: this is not the same as the “sin against the Holy Spirit” mentioned in the Gospels (Mark 3:28–30; Matthew 12:31–32). That sin is the persistent, vocal, hard-hearted blasphemy that attributes Jesus’ Spirit-empowered works to Satan.
As the context of Ephesians 4 makes clear, grieving the Holy Spirit is a different category. So what is Paul talking about?
In the verse right before, Paul says: “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up others” (Ephesians 4:29). His focus is on speech that should be proper, gracious, and edifying. Immediately afterward he adds: “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption” (Ephesians 4:30).
So, grieving the Spirit is connected to corrupt, unwholesome talk that tears others down.
Now keep this in mind too: Paul is echoing Isaiah 63, where the same language appears. There we read that the Israelites in the wilderness “rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit; therefore he turned to be their enemy, and himself fought against them” (Isaiah 63:10). How did they rebel? Through bickering, complaining, and murmuring against God and against Moses (see Exodus 16:2–8; Numbers 14:1–4). All of this came from unfaithful, unbelieving hearts.
Do you see the connection? Paul is saying: Do not be like the Israelites in the wilderness. Do not reject God’s will and ways. Do not rebel or let unwholesome speech pour from a faithless heart.
Instead, let your words be wholesome, good, and fruitful, the kind of speech that flows from a believing heart united to Christ.

Genuinely think they could sell anything.
They always got so furious when I - after I was asked for bribes - claimed the system is corrupt.
