We all want to stay connected to friends, family & community but the IJB's vote to cut welfare rights & daycare pushes disabled people further into poverty & create barriers to taking up work or volunteering. Disabled people should've been meaningfully involved from the start.

We all benefit when people have the security to participate in work, family life and their communities. Participation is critical for sure @alanmilburn1958 but financial security helps people focus on living their lives- including work- rather than constantly managing hardship.

.@GDA__online members firmly believe everyone in Scotland, including disabled ple, should be able to make ends meet. That’s why the social security system matters. Disabled ple are twice as likely to face poverty, so we need a system that supports us all when we need it most.
