The Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act was passed by the US Congress ONE MONTH AGO. This bipartisan law targets sanctions against Russia and extends those against Iran. Now, Trump waived many of the sanctions on #Russia. Who does Trump really work for?

US has not spent $350B on Ukraine. It has spent $132B, $33B of that is money. The rest is $21B in loans, repaid from frozen Russian assets, $4B in humanitarian aid, and the vast majority, $74B is military equipment. Half that equipment is new, made in the US. The other half is old stockpile equipment, which soon would have had to be demilitarized at great cost. The replacement equipment is made in the US, so the money stays in the US.
Meanwhile, the EU and European countries have spent a combined $271B, more than twice as much as the US.

NEW: A half dozen GOP senators — Tillis, Collins, Armstrong, Murkowski, McConnell and Cornyn — sign onto a letter w/ Dems urging Trump to back out of his Russian oil deal. "This deal is a gift to our adversary and a betrayal of our Allies; it should be rescinded."

What could be worse than a greedy compromised narcissistic sociopath who’s also a serial rapist (including of children), a convicted felon, corrupt to the core, dumb as a rock, with no moral compass and (sub)zero empathy, and who has access to the nuclear codes☢️💣?

So the plan was: launch a non-sense Operation Fury, push diesel over 6$ per gallon and then, only then, buy russian diesel with taxpayers' money. Us troops died, US citizens pay more even if they already struggled, but he will do whatever it takes to Make Russia Great Again.

A Short Lesson in Cause and Effect There is nothing complicated about this. The United States buys Russian diesel, which puts money in Moscow's pocket. Moscow then spends part of that money on backing, arming and shielding Iran. Iran, in turn, uses that support to hit American bases, ships and soldiers. So the money leaves America as a fuel payment and comes back as incoming fire, which is about as clear a result as foreign policy ever produces. I would love to say this takes some expertise to grasp, but it really doesn't. Most people work out by the age of ten that you shouldn't pay the people who are helping someone hurt you. The Trump administration has had rather longer than that to think it over.

Another way to think about Trump announcement today: If he increased US diesel imports from Canada by 4%, he would gain as much fuel as from this Russia deal. But the Canadians are global super-villains, so who wants to buy from them when you could enrich Putin instead?

Trump tells his flock of idiots that they’re a flock of gullible idiots, and the flock applauds while flashing those vacant, sub-40-IQ smiles.

If you just accept that everything he says falls into one of three buckets then you no longer have to listen to anything he or his sycophants have to say or write: 1. Asshole bucket - simply put: I've got no idea what you're asking me, so I'm going to make up a bunch of bullshit to make it seem like I know something, anything, or deflect to something that has no implication to what you just asked (a.k.a "word salad"). 2. Pump my family bags - you know this one; I'm a failed entrepreneur (also, Daddy gave me millions so I can bankrupt casinos), but I'll shill any piece of garbage that will add a few dirty bucks to my own or my family's soiled coffers. 3. Putin's got my chain - my favorite; let's do everything we can to weaken democratic institutions from the inside (courts, government agencies, military, etc.), and overspend the shit out of our taxable income so that inflation drives the middle class into the ground, and the country collapses from within (quite similar to the 'spend them into oblivion' that helped to end the USSR).

American soldiers are dying, not a word from Trump. Food and gas prices are skyrocketing, not a word from Trump. People demand the Epstein files, not a word from Trump. But the minute he doesn't win a Nobel Peace Prize, Trump writes the Butthurt Bible.

Imagine the world's dumbest person and its biggest asshole turned out to be the same guy, and that guy became president. Then imagine he started a war with Iran and now has no clue how to get out of the mess he created because he's a stupid asshole. Now check the news.

A lot of Americans voted for Trump because: 1. They were fed up with high prices. 2. They didn’t want any more endless wars. 3. They wanted full access to the Epstein files. 4. Joe Biden closed his eyes once. You know how that turned out?
