With NASENI-Troment's biotechnologies factory, there's a high probability that your next rapid test kit purchase will be from NASENI.
I also took the DG on a tour of the NASENI–Troment Diagnostics Factory, where we’re reducing Nigeria’s dependence on imported rapid diagnostic test kits.
With the capacity to meet up to 80% of Nigeria’s demand and producing @WHO-, @NafdacAgency-, and ISO-certified kits, the facility is proof that local manufacturing can strengthen our healthcare system.
The factory was recently commended by the @Harvard-led Science of Defeating Malaria team during their visit.
Since assuming office my vision has been, to ensure that every Nigerian household uses at least one product proudly made by NASENI.
Soon, more Nigerians will see products bearing “Made in Nigeria, Made by NASENI” in their homes, because industrialization only becomes meaningful when it improves everyday life and unlocks #InfinitePossibilities for our people.

The commendation came during the visit of HM @FMINONigeria, members of the Presidential Communications Team, the SA on Policy Coordination, @hadizabalausman, partners, and senior media professionals to NASENI’s production facilities and showroom.
The delegation toured five factories to witness firsthand the homegrown technologies and industrial solutions driving President @officialABAT’s #RenewedHope and Nigeria’s industrial transformation.

Presidential Renewed Hope Media Tour Hails NASENI Technology Transformation, Says Tinubu’s Industrial Agenda Gaining Momentum.
The Presidential Renewed Hope Media Tour has commended the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (@NASENIHQ ) for its remarkable progress in advancing local technology development, describing the Agency as a key driver of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s (@officialABAT) Renewed Hope Agenda and Nigeria’s industrial transformation. Speaking on behalf of the team, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, (@aonanuga1956) Special Adviser to the President on Communication, Information and Strategy, described the visit as “impressive, impressive, impressive,” noting that NASENI’s achievements demonstrate the capacity of Nigerian youths to excel when supported by purposeful leadership. He praised the transformation recorded under the leadership of Mr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu (@KSHalilu ), Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of NASENI.
In his remarks, Mr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu explained that sustainable industrial growth does not require products to be 100 per cent locally produced but rather demands strategic technology development, innovation and partnerships. He stated that NASENI is prioritizing commercially viable innovations capable of creating jobs, reducing production time and supporting the Nigeria First Policy. He also highlighted the Agency’s efforts in technology transfer, commercialization, mentorship of innovators and the Innovate Naija Challenge, which provides a ₦500 million prize fund to support and scale promising Nigerian innovations.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris (@HMMohammedIdris ), commended NASENI’s achievements and urged the media to give greater visibility to the Federal Government’s programmes and successes across sectors. Similarly, Hajia Hadiza Bala Usman @hadizabalausman , Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination, emphasized the need for stronger strategic communication and patronage of Nigerian innovations, while Chief Sunday Dare @SundayDareSD , Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, advocated a policy encouraging Ministries, Departments and Agencies to prioritise NASENI and other locally manufactured products. Mr. Tunde Rahman @tunderahmanu , Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, and Otega Ogra @otegaogra , Special Assistant to the President on Digital Media, also commended NASENI’s partnerships and locally developed technologies.
During the tour, the delegation inspected NASENI’s facilities, including drone technology, helicopter assembly, reverse engineering, precision manufacturing, renewable energy, agricultural technology and recycling systems. The visitors witnessed the practical implementation of the Agency’s 3Cs framework—Creation, Collaboration and Commercialization—which is driving indigenous manufacturing and technology transfer. Stakeholders at the end of the visit called for sustained national campaigns to promote Nigerian-made products, strengthen local manufacturing, reduce import dependence and advance President Tinubu’s industrialization agenda.

Nigeria spent over N400bn importing solar products in 2025 and more than N200bn so far in 2026.
That is not just an import bill, it is a reminder of the production gap we must close as a nation.
Today, @NASENIHQ and @TheREANigeria, with @BPP_NG’s support, took another step to change that.
Under President @OfficialABAT’s Nigeria First Policy, NASENI will supply locally manufactured solar solutions for REA’s electrification projects.
Our goal is to reduce imports, create jobs, and strengthen Nigeria’s energy security.

Public service reform begins with leadership. When I took office at @NASENIHQ, many of our processes were manual, and digital adoption was limited.
Today, through deliberate institutional reforms and our ERP system, NASENI operates a mostly paperless, data-driven environment.
At the Nigeria Public Service Lecture Series organized by @bpsr_ng, I shared our lessons over the years; institutions transform when people embrace change, technology, and a culture of performance.
As we work toward a more efficient public service, NASENI is ready to support MDAs seeking to accelerate their digital transformation.

As @NASENIHQ expands investments in Kano, from SETI and the Transformer Manufacturing Plant to the Coal and Liquid-Based Fertilizer Plant, we are equally investing in people.
Today, we equipped young people from Kumbotso and Tarauni with practical skills in solar, welding, fabrication, food processing, and STEM.
We are not just building infrastructure; we are building the workforce that will power it—first in Kano, then across Nigeria.

Books remain one of the greatest sources of knowledge, but technology and social media have reduced the reading culture, especially among young people.
With the type of content from @hardknocksedu where he interviews billionaires and successful entrepreneurs, young people can learn and grow easily.
For those who struggle to finish books, they can supplement their learning by watching valuable content and learning from people who have been there and done that.

Nigeria cannot industrialize if we continue to rely on imported high-precision components for critical sectors.
That’s why @NASENIHQ established the ‘Centre of Excellence’ for Precision Manufacturing under the #RenewedHope, to build local capacity, strengthen advanced manufacturing, and enable Nigerian industries to produce world-class components for aerospace, automotive, energy, defence, and healthcare.
It was a pleasure to welcome Mr Tanimu Yakubu, Director-General of the Budget Office of the Federation, to the Centre and share the progress we’re making.
We appreciate his visit and continued interest in advancing Nigeria’s industrial future.
