To round off my engagements in Kaduna, we strengthened our partnership with the State Government, with a renewed focus on technology transfer, agricultural and infrastructural development. This collaboration will help drive innovation, improve productivity and create new economic opportunities. I thank HE @ubasanius for the gala dinner hosted in our honour, his warm hospitality and genuine interest in @NASENIHQ’s work. We look forward to translating this partnership into tangible outcomes that will benefit the people of Kaduna State. #InfinitePossibilities #3Cs #KSH

I’ve been following Abdul El-Sayed’s US Senate bid in Michigan with interest. After winning the Democratic primary, he’s now leading in recent polls ahead of the 3 November election. If elected, he would become the first Muslim and Egyptian American in the US Senate. Wishing him success!

I have no problem with anyone supporting another candidate, but believing @officialABAT can be defeated is pure fantasy, especially with the kind of opposition we have.

Today, at @ChathamHouse in London, I had the opportunity to engage with Nigeria’s Honourable Minister of Finance @taiwoyedele , the Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, and the Ambassador of Somalia to the UK. Beyond the discussions on stage, I had valuable conversations on the sidelines around a question that sits at the heart of my work: How can we use data to unlock opportunities and design evidence-based policies for last-mile markets? Across Africa, millions of people and businesses remain underserved, not necessarily because opportunities do not exist, but because the data, infrastructure and systems needed to connect them to those opportunities are often missing. From energy access and financial inclusion to market participation and economic development, better data can help governments make more informed decisions, businesses reach underserved communities, and development partners direct resources where they can have the greatest impact. At Interface Africa, this is the problem we are working to solve: building the infrastructure that makes last-mile markets more visible, accessible and economically viable. My biggest takeaway is that inclusive growth requires more than economic reforms. It requires the data and market infrastructure to translate those reforms into real opportunities for people and businesses. That is a conversation I look forward to advancing as we continue building at the intersection of data, technology and inclusive economic development. #ChathamHouse #Nigeria #InclusiveGrowth #MarketAccess #DataForDevelopment

Our 2024 MoU with @CavertonGroup took another step forward yesterday with the commissioning of the NASCAV Drone Training Centre at AFIT, Kaduna. With two cohorts of drone pilots and our #SHEFLY all-women pilots already trained, we are building Nigerian expertise for agriculture, infrastructure and security. This is our #3Cs approach in action. I thank President @OfficialABAT for his continued support, and HE Gov @ubasanius and HM @MODInfoNg General Christopher Musa, for their support and attendance. My appreciation also goes to the Emir of Zazzau, the Nigerian Air Force, AFIT, Caverton, the NASCAV team, our instructors, pilots and host community. #InfinitePossibilities #NASCAV #KSH
I signed an MoU between @NASENIHQ and @CavertonGroup with the aim of establishing, in Nigeria, a Drone Assembly Plant, a Drone Training School, and a Service Center for helicopters. This partnership with Caverton will yield significant outcomes in job creation, skilling, industrialization, and the development of Nigeria's aviation industry. At NASENI, we're always keen to engage with stakeholders and opportunities at the cutting edge of technology and innovation in Nigeria. That's why I’m very excited about this partnership with Caverton, one of the leading players in Nigeria's and Africa's aviation industry. #ksh #ANewNASENI

While in Kaduna, we also broke ground for the NASENI Skills Development Centre in Rigachikun and supported 500 beneficiaries through the NASENI Sustainable Empowerment Programme (NSEP). The centre will equip Nigerians with skills for employment and enterprise, while NSEP provides support packs, solar home systems and clean cookstoves to strengthen livelihoods. Both initiatives reflect our commitment to helping Nigerians become more productive and self-reliant. Industrial growth requires investment in technology and in the people who will put it to work. I thank HE Gov @ubasanius, our Royal Fathers, host communities and partners for their support. Our greatest possibilities are in our people. #InfinitePossibilities #NSEP #3Cs #KSH

I commend NASENI’s Executive Vice Chairman, Mr Khalil Suleiman Halilu, and the agency’s partners for their dedication to technological advancement and investment in human potential. I welcome the commendations expressed by stakeholders for Kaduna State’s support in bringing these initiatives to fruition. Their recognition affirms the value of sustained cooperation between governments, institutions and the private sector. These investments must yield lasting benefits for families and communities. For us, the enduring measure of this partnership will be the lives improved, the skills acquired and the enterprises strengthened. We remain committed to ensuring that innovation serves our people, expands economic participation and gives young Nigerians greater confidence in their capacity to shape the future. Senator Uba Sani, CON Governor, Kaduna State. October 19, 2026

Today, I had the honour of chairing and serving as Special Guest of Honour at three engagements organised by the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), in collaboration with the Kaduna State Government: the groundbreaking of the NASENI Skill Development Centre, the launch of the NASENI Sustainable Empowerment Programme, and the commissioning of the NASCAV Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Training Facility. Together, these initiatives advance a central responsibility of government: equipping citizens with the skills, resources and opportunities to build secure livelihoods and contribute meaningfully to national development. The Sustainable Empowerment Programme will provide 500 beneficiaries across our 23 local government areas with solar home systems, clean cookstoves and financial assistance, supporting household welfare and productive capacity. The Skill Development Centre will widen access to practical training, while the NASCAV UAV Training Facility will strengthen specialised technical education, research and innovation, including applications in agriculture and other critical sectors. I sincerely appreciate His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his commitment to science, technology, skills development and economic empowerment. His support demonstrates how the Renewed Hope Agenda can translate national priorities into opportunities within communities, giving more Nigerians the means to improve their circumstances.
