I’m going to watch The Devil Bear! It’s a 1929 silent film from Canada about stolen gold and a gorilla or something.
@GoldNinjaVideo just released it and the liner notes about the production of the film are wild (apparently Ontario was going to be the Hollywood of Canada but…)

Though it has inflamed much debate, it must be recognized that @MoternMedia and Charlie Roxburgh's DON'T LET THE RIVERBEAST GET YOU!, depite its reputation as a harrowing horror film, is ALSO a capital C-O-M-E-D-Y!

i want to see @MoternMedia do the criterion closet so that he can discretely slip @GoldNinjaVideo blu-rays of his films onto the shelves
ATTENTION: Because of a new charge EU countries have on small packages, Canada Post has suspended shipping to these countries, and as a result, I have had to suspend shipping there too: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Portugal.
So, I have to e-mail everyone who has ordered from those places that their orders have been cancelled, because no one in the right mind wants to pay $52 in shipping for a few Blu-rays. Hopefully something gets figured out sooner rather than later and normal service can return.
This is the great stuff!
For Cinema Riot I wrote ab @GoldNinjaVideo's release of the long-lost movie Devil Bear and the history of gorilla suits in film

One of the great Gorilla suit scholars, and author of GORILLAWOOD, has spoken: It's probably Charlie Gemora, one of the best to ever do it, who was the Gorilla in THE DEVIL BEAR. Also, he likes the Blu-ray!

Our release of WHITE ZOMBIE is a heartfelt experiment in presenting a texture that isn't common in the digital realm: From a battered source that gives the entire thing the feel of a transmission from a faraway place, like a half-remembered nightmare, cloaked in darkness.
There is a little more than a 100 copies of THE DEVIL BEAR left... so if you want one, order it now!
