With Yandex data centers under constant attack, I’m starting to worry that the White House will issue yet another demand to stop the strikes. After all, it would be a tragedy if Russia’s valuable bot traffic dried up just before the midterms.

Data centres are also needed to run refineries and energy infrastructure. Just saying, like.
According to Cloudflare Data Explorer the amount of russian bot traffic has dropped to 49% after Ukraine struck a yandex data center. Could this disrupt the midterm elections in the US?

If true… OOOF. Top work.

Some context: Yandex is a Russian data centre company that hosts large volumes of bot traffic. Fire Point are the Ukrainian manufacturers of long range UAV’s and cruise missiles.

This is the fifth vessel hit by Iran in the last 72 hours in the Strait of Hormuz. Along with the Fly Dubai flight and Fairford, this is an up-tick in activity by Iran, coinciding with increasingly brazen and regular hybrid attacks by Russia.

NEW: 🇷🇺 Russia has detained a Western cargo ship for the first time since threatening to detain vessels in response to sanctions against its shadow fleet. The Cyprus-flagged Västerbotten was stopped by Russian border guards while sailing through Russian territorial waters in the Gulf of Finland toward Estonia. 🇪🇪 Estonia confirmed the detention. The ship resumed sailing at around 5 PM and is now heading toward the port of Sillamäe.

The US excluding the UK and France, permanent members of the UN Security Council. At this stage the only thing that surprises me is that they didn’t invite the other two instead. politico.com/news/2026/09/30…

Diplomatic immunity FFS. She’s fucking deranged.
DID the five terror suspects have diplomatic immunity?? A few months ago the Iranian Embassy in London launched a recruitment programme for martyrs. The government was sufficiently alarmed to call in the Ambassador. Might our five antiheroes have signed up? And might the Embassy have given them a get-out-of-jail card?

Re the Fairford suspects, they were detained under PACE, which operates under an assumption that bail will be granted. Evidence is needed to deny bail. Intelligence assessments do not necessarily meet that standard. Burnham mentioned “indications”, not evidence

Breaking: UK counter terror police update on RAF Fairford “We can confirm that no improvised explosive devices were found. However, a quantity of petrol was recovered. “Yesterday we released the five men on police bail. They remain under investigation and must adhere to strict conditions while we continue our work. The safety of the public is at the forefront of our investigative decision making, and this was certainly the case yesterday. I understand why this development will have come as a surprise to many, but I'd like to reiterate that it was investigative decision, and one which is grounded in experience and careful consideration of policing powers.”

Worth reading.
1/ While I get why people are confused by the bail decision in this case, such a course is not taken lightly, and it tells me as criminal law person not that the police are doing something wrong, but they are acting properly and lawfully now and avoiding a judicial review later.
