🚨 COMMUNITY WARNING: THIS CRYPTO SCAM WAS INCREDIBLY CONVINCING — PLEASE READ! I want to share something important with the Cheeky Crypto community. Recently, someone within our wider team was targeted in an extremely sophisticated crypto scam attempt. Thankfully, they stopped before losing any funds. They reached out to the team to ask whether what was happening was legitimate, and we were able to help identify the scam before it went any further. I'm sharing this because the scammers were exceptionally convincing, and I genuinely believe this could happen to almost anyone, regardless of how experienced they are in crypto. This wasn't your typical dodgy email, fake giveaway or random message asking you to connect your wallet. This was a carefully constructed operation involving multiple people, fake police officers, convincing documentation, impersonated phone numbers and a fake hardware wallet security specialist. And it all happened during one continuous phone call. 🚨 STAGE 1: THE FAKE POLICE INVESTIGATION It started with a phone call from someone claiming to be a police officer investigating organised crime. They sounded professional, knowledgeable and calm. They claimed someone had been arrested with stolen personal information, including identity documents and details connected to cryptocurrency exchanges. To make the story believable, they: Used a phone number that appeared to be associated with the police. Sent an official-looking document containing a supposed police crime reference number. Used an email address designed to look connected to the police. Discussed identity theft, data breaches and compromised exchange accounts. Suggested the victim might need to visit a police station to review evidence. Here's where it gets clever. They didn't immediately ask for money, passwords or wallet recovery phrases. Instead, they spent considerable time building trust and making the situation sound legitimate. They also mentioned real concerns within the crypto industry, including criminals targeting people who hold digital assets. Their goal was to make the person believe their identity and cryptocurrency holdings were in immediate danger. 🚨 STAGE 2: THE FAKE CYBERCRIME OFFICER Next, the call was transferred to another person claiming to work in a specialist police cybercrime unit. This individual continued the story seamlessly. They discussed protecting exchange accounts, investigating stolen personal information and preventing criminals from accessing cryptocurrency. They casually mentioned well-known exchanges and hardware wallets. Pay attention to this part. Rather than asking directly what cryptocurrency the person owned, they gradually guided the conversation towards which exchanges and security devices they used. This allowed the scammers to collect information while making it seem like they were simply carrying out an investigation. They also suggested that criminals might have obtained wallet recovery information. That was the turning point. The conversation had moved from identity theft to the possibility that the person's entire crypto portfolio was at risk. They were creating fear while positioning themselves as the people who could fix the problem. 🚨 STAGE 3: THE FAKE HARDWARE WALLET EXPERT After building trust through the supposed police investigation, the scammers introduced a third person. This individual claimed to be a hardware wallet security specialist. By this point, the victim had already spent a significant amount of time speaking with people who appeared to be authorities. The supposed specialist initially suggested checking whether the wallet's assets were still there. Everything appeared fine. But the scammer continued to insist that the wallet needed securing because its recovery information might have been compromised. They were patient. They were polite. They didn't immediately demand anything. Then came the real attack. The victim was directed towards a website presented as an official wallet security service. The page displayed an alarming message claiming the device was corrupted. 🚨 THIS WAS THE TRAP. The fake warning was designed to create panic and push the victim into following the scammers' supposed security instructions. The concern was that the next steps could expose the wallet's secret recovery phrase and allow the criminals to steal the cryptocurrency. Remember, a convincing-looking website does not make it legitimate. ✅ HOW THE SCAM WAS STOPPED Fortunately, the person targeted recognised that something didn't feel right. Rather than blindly following instructions, they paused and contacted members of the Cheeky Crypto team. We immediately recognised the warning signs and advised that this was a scam. The victim then independently contacted the genuine police through an official number. The police confirmed that the supposed investigation and contact were fraudulent. The incident was reported, and the person began reviewing and strengthening their account security. Most importantly, they did not enter their wallet recovery phrase into the suspicious website. No cryptocurrency was lost in the attempt. 🧠 WHY THIS SCAM WAS SO DANGEROUS I want everyone to understand something. These criminals weren't relying on a single convincing message. They were using psychological manipulation over an extended conversation. Authority: They impersonated police officers and specialist investigators. Credibility: They used official-looking documentation, fake reference numbers and phone number spoofing. Fear: They claimed someone's personal information and cryptocurrency security had been compromised. Information gathering: They encouraged the victim to reveal details about exchanges and hardware wallets through seemingly innocent questions. Trust building: Multiple people played different roles, reinforcing the same story. Patience: They spent well over an hour building the narrative rather than rushing straight into asking for sensitive information. Manufactured urgency: They eventually presented a fake wallet security warning to make immediate action feel necessary. This is what sophisticated social engineering looks like. They don't necessarily need to hack your computer or break into your wallet. They try to convince YOU to open the door for them. 🔐 HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF Please take these precautions seriously. ✅ NEVER enter your wallet recovery phrase into a website. Your recovery phrase gives control over your assets. No genuine police officer, exchange support agent or hardware wallet representative needs it. ✅ NEVER trust an incoming call simply because the number looks official. Caller ID can be spoofed. ✅ NEVER assume an official-looking email or document is genuine. Logos, signatures, reference numbers and email display names can all be faked. ✅ NEVER use a security link supplied during an unexpected phone call. Go directly to the official website or app using an address you independently know is legitimate. ✅ NEVER reveal unnecessary information about your holdings. Scammers can use seemingly harmless answers to make later parts of their story more believable. ✅ ALWAYS independently verify unexpected contact. Hang up and contact the organisation yourself through its published official channels. ✅ USE strong, unique passwords and two-factor authentication for your exchange accounts and email. ✅ BE ESPECIALLY CAREFUL when someone claims your wallet or recovery phrase has been compromised. If a recovery phrase really is exposed, the safe approach is to create a new wallet with a genuinely new recovery phrase using trusted hardware or software and transfer assets securely. Never type the old phrase into a website offering to repair or secure it. And remember: you do not have to make security decisions while someone is keeping you on the phone. ❤️ A MESSAGE FROM ME AND THE CHEEKY CRYPTO TEAM The reason I'm sharing this is simple. The person targeted was not new to crypto. They had years of experience and understood the importance of wallet security. Yet the scammers still managed to create a situation that felt frighteningly real. That should tell you just how sophisticated these operations are becoming. Experience doesn't make you immune to manipulation. What protected this person was recognising that something wasn't right, stopping before taking the dangerous step, and asking for a second opinion. And I want to make something very clear to everyone here: IF YOU ARE EVER UNSURE WHETHER SOMETHING IS A SCAM, PLEASE ASK THE CHEEKY CRYPTO TEAM. We would much rather spend time helping you check something that turns out to be legitimate than see anyone in this community lose their hard-earned cryptocurrency. There is no such thing as a stupid question when it comes to protecting your assets. Just remember that our team will never need your recovery phrase, private keys, passwords or authentication codes. Use verified community channels, and be cautious of anyone who privately messages you claiming to be support. Please share this warning with anyone you know who holds crypto. If it helps prevent even one person from losing their funds, it's worth sharing. Stay vigilant. Stay secure. And look after each other. Chris & The Cheeky Crypto Team ❤️ THE GOLDEN RULE: NEVER SHARE YOUR SEED PHRASE. NEVER ENTER IT INTO A WEBSITE. NEVER LET SOMEONE TALK YOU INTO DOING IT.

🤖Your agent's transaction history is your business strategy, published in real time. Your commerce patterns for the entire internet to see. Portfolio allocations readily available for others to copy and exploit... etc. etc. You got the point. 🔐Every API it pays for, every price it accepts, every counterparty, goods or service it chooses is visible to anyone watching the chain. For autonomous agents doing real work, transparency is more of a bug rather than a feature, so... ⏳In two weeks: Private x402. Settlement nobody else can see. Compliance intact. @GalacticaNet x @aztecnetwork
Private x402 is coming to Aztec. @GalacticaNet is bringing agentic payments to Aztec with private-to-private settlement: no exposed sender, no exposed recipient, no exposed amount. Stay tuned for additional information.

🔐 Introducing PrivateInference (PI) 🤔 What: 0 compromise private inference - wholesale or retail - one API key, one funded session, access to a universe of open and closed-weightg models from the leading labs, including OpenAI and Anthropic. No supplier accounts, no subscriptions. ✅ 💭 Why: 1. Prompts have become highly sensitive data: unlike search queries, they can reveal reasoning, contracts, medical records, unreleased code, negotiations, and other confidential context. This information remains exposed on third-party servers during processing. 2. “Private inference” gets thrown around loosely: people normally think TEE - open weight models where execution is encrypted on the hardware level. Indeed, TEE can protect memory but a gateway still reads your prompt. Zero-retention policies constrain future use, not present visibility. Privacy is a chain — identity, payment, routing, and execution each need their own boundary, and a transaction is only as private as its weakest link. ⚙️ How: 🌐 Private settlement for tokens on Aztec mainnet (sender, recipient, amount never go onchain) 💳 One session funds many calls across models and inference providers 🔀 Provider routing with per-request zero data retention where supported 📅 When: 🟢 Live soon on the @aztecnetwork mainnet - settlement + session billing.  Next up: 🪪 conditional zkKYC (prove eligibility, not identity), blind routing, and an attested TEE execution tier with no fallback to a standard route if privacy can't be guaranteed. The $186M hedera-hashgraph:native whale narrative just broke. Every CT account reported 828M tokens added by institutional whales this week. We ran the raw Hedera mirror node data. Your ADA Ran 26%. Mastercard Isn't Why. ADA jumped roughly 26% in a week, but the Mastercard headline doesn’t tell the full story. The Cardano Foundation joined Mastercard’s Crypto Partner Program, a program with more than 100 members, but there is no ADA payment product, launch date, pilot country, named bank, or confirmation that Mastercard will settle anything on Cardano. This video breaks down what actually drove the ADA move, including the wider market rally, rising leverage, positive funding and buying from larger wallets. It also explains what would make the Mastercard story more meaningful: a named product, a launch date, clarity on what moves on Cardano and a real partner where money flows.
