Bishop Golka is orthodox and I’ve even interacted with him personally. I was very taken aback by his humility.
There will be a lot of people speculating about the situation with Father Ripperger but I think there’s more going on behind the scenes than we know.

This seems to have been a mutual understanding between the two and those who have met Archbishop Golka have testified to his orthodoxy and humility. But of course for lifesite they don't need all the information, they'll just take any opportunity to cry "SCANDAL" and attack the Pope.
SCANDAL: Pope Leo appointed the archbishop who just silenced Fr. Ripperger to the Archdiocese of Denver in February 2026.
Archbishop Golka has asked him to halt all talks, preaching and writing for a full year.

A massive error of the SSPX is that their profession of faith denies a dogma of the Catholic Church that existed before Vatican 2 and was infallibly confirmed at Vatican 2 in Lumen Gentium.
While I completely understand that there is a crisis in the Church and many feel compelled to go to SSPX chapels to escape from liturgical abuse, irreverence and even heterodox preaching by some clergy, their conception of the Church is out of line with what has been infallibly taught and since their excommunication they are officially in schism.
SSPX profession of faith paragraph 77:
"I further recognize that the body of bishops, united with its head the Roman Pontiff and never without that head, can be the extraordinary and non-permanent subject of a full and supreme power over the universal Church, but that this takes place only in the act of an ecumenical council, on the initiative and at the order of the Roman Pontiff alone, and within the limits of his exclusive will."
This contradicts what was previously taught:
"Moreover, nothing is more explicit in the Catholic faith from the beginning than the dogma of the supreme authority of the whole episcopate, whether gathered into an ecumenical council or even dispersed throughout the whole world (Cf. the letter of Pius IX to the Archbishop of Munich, December 21, 1863, in Denzinger, no. 1536). And it is concerning this collegial authority of all bishops cohering with Peter as their head that the saying of Cyprian, De Unitate Ecclesiae, no. 5, is rightly understood.
Billot, Church of Christ, Thesis XXVIII (The apostolic college shares supreme power with Peter; monarchy with episcopal coherence.)"
"The conclusion is rather that this power was promised to the whole apostolic college, including Peter. A comparison of Matthew 16 with Matthew 18 shows that there will be in Christ’s Church a twofold subject, not too sharply distinct, of full and supreme jurisdiction: Peter alone, and the Petro-apostolic college. And this is the Catholic teaching, as Innocent III, among others, testifies:
But should you discover that it was spoken to all the apostles together, still you will recognize that the power of binding and loosing was bestowed not upon the others without him [Peter], but that it was given to him apart from the others, so that what the others could not do without him he could do without the others, and this by reason of the privileges conferred upon him by the Lord and by reason of the fulness of power which had been granted him."
Van Noort, Christ's Church p 67-68
And taught by the Second Vatican Council:
LG 22:
"The order of bishops, which succeeds to the college of apostles and gives this apostolic body continued existence, is also the subject of supreme and full power over the universal Church, provided we understand this body together with its head the Roman Pontiff and never without this head.(27*) This power can be exercised only with the consent of the Roman Pontiff."

Anyone in mortal sin should make an act of perfect contrition: love for God destroys sin and restores grace. For Catholics, this includes the resolution to sacramentally confess all mortal sins later. But should one die before being able to do so, one will still be saved.

NB: "Reports suggesting that Pope Leo XIV still has cancer go beyond what the Vatican has confirmed....The full pathological examination and staging results are still awaited, and no further official clarification has been issued."
May the Lord preserve Pope Leo XIV, and give him life, and make him blessed upon the earth, and deliver him not up to the will of his enemies.
