Strong communities are not built by telling neighbours they do not belong.
We can debate immigration policy, the pace of growth, capacity, and humanitarian responsibilities. But that debate must never become an excuse for division. cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/on…

We need to guide boys and young men toward empathy, responsibility, healthy relationships, purpose, belonging, and asking for help. cbc.ca/news/health/the-menta…
Congratulations @GeeGeesFootball ! A well fought battle by the @CURavens came up a bit short this year. And while @Carleton_U has a spot in my heart, I’m a @TelferEMBA_Alum guy so have to keep faith with the Garnet et Gris! 🏈
A great day to join the Race to End Homelessness! Thank you to the @OttawaAlliance @ochottawa @ysb_bsj and all the other great organizations working towards the day when we move homelessness from the front pages to the history pages. Like the shirt says: We can’t go fast enough!

Congratulations to all those who ran today’s @CanadaArmyRun & supported those who support us. This 5+21.1 Commander’s challenge was my longest distance in a day but no distance comes close to the service of our Men & Women in and out of uniform, their families & those around them
Wishing all those celebrating the new year blessings and prosperity ahead. May you enjoy the company of family, friends, and community.

Let’s move transit forward.
If re-elected, I will secure billions of dollars of provincial funding for new rapid transit lines, reintroduce express routes in the east, west and south, start Stage 3 of LRT to Kanata, Stittsville, Barrhaven, and cut the price of a monthly transit pass by over 30%, to $95. marksutcliffe2026.ca/priorit…

"The longer somebody stays homeless the harder it becomes."
That's why shelters like @sghottawa, @ysb_bsj, & @ochottawa, with our support, are promoting a diversion approach to helping people at risk of homelessness- especially youth- find other options.

As you celebrate Canada 🇨🇦 Day, whether in your neighbourhood or across Ottawa, take a moment to thank and appreciate all those working today to make sure we can all have a great time. Special thanks @OttFire , @OttawaParamedic , @OttawaPolice and @ottawacity Public Works teams!
Dad.
Lost him when I was just 18 months old.
Today would have been his 100th birthday.
I’ve now lived 10 more years than he did but know I would be so much wiser today had he been there Today isn’t Father’s Day. So it’s a great day to drop in on yours or call out of the blue❤️

We're grateful to work with such strong and dedicated partners on the challenge of ending homelessness in Ottawa!
Ending homelessness in Ottawa will take a solution that requires coordination, strong partnerships, and a shared commitment to keep moving forward. But we can do it. It is great to have Councillors Laura Dudas, Marty Carr, and partners like Michael Maidment, @OttCommFdn, John Heckbert, @ochottawa, Katie Burkholder-Harris from the @OttawaAlliance to End Homelessness, Nina Gorka, @ysb_bsj, working together as we launch the action plan to End Homelessness. Everyone deserves a safe place to stay at night, and together we can make that happen.

By a vote of 20-4, city council adopted a new bylaw to protect schools, hospitals, long-term care facilities, and other community facilities from intimidating demonstrations. After consulting carefully with the public, a lot of work went into this new bubble bylaw. It strikes a careful balance, protecting free speech and the right to demonstrate, and also protecting safe access for children, families, seniors, and communities.
Bill, his family and his team have hosted more family gatherings, celebrations, and special moments than most people see in a lifetime. Here’s to another 66 years Golden Palace!
I’ve been visiting Golden Palace for more than four decades, and it’s a place that’s meant a lot to so many in our city. Congratulations to Golden Palace. It was great to visit them with Councillor @tm_kavanagh and members of the community for their 66 years celebration. A real milestone for an iconic business.
