AI makes it much easier to start a business, as there is no longer a need to hire employees. This is especially advantageous given onerous labor laws and how easy governments have made it for employees to sue employers. So don't look for a job; think of a business you can start.

GM Roughnecks!
Institutional adoption of Bitcoin is good. Institutional control over Bitcoin is bad.
Hope that clears up some confusion

Bitcoin has been a "minority fork" from day 1.
Anyone who wants to go with the crowd uses the dollar.

4 YEARS PROGRESSION OF SPAM ON THE CORE CHAIN
Here I took a 3 block snapshot with 50,000 blocks intervals (roughtly a year apart) over 4 years.
The blue tiles are monetary txs and the red tiles are spam garbage.
Pay close attention to the discount taken by spam. That's the average amount of discount spam gets ahead of monetary users.

At this point, if you told me shape shifting lizard aliens are controlling core, that would sound more credible than the narrative that core devs are so fucking stupid and retarded as to actually believe removing a spam filter in the middle of a 3 year spam attack is a good thing.
Roosevelt stole all US citizens' savings in January 1934 with one simple trick.
The Gold Reserve Act handed all gold held by the Federal Reserve to the Treasury, then let Roosevelt reprice gold from $20.67 to $35 per ounce by executive proclamation. That single move cut the dollar's gold content by 41%. Every dollar you held lost 41% of its backing overnight.
Roosevelt needed to inflate debt away and fund New Deal spending without going to you directly. Devaluation is taxation without a vote. The purchasing power comes from somewhere, and it came from every American holding dollars or dollar-denominated savings.
The government had already made private gold ownership a crime under Executive Order 6102 in April 1933, forcing citizens to surrender gold at $20.67. Then, once the government held all the gold, Roosevelt repriced it upward by 69%. The profit, roughly $2.8 billion, went straight to the Exchange Stabilization Fund, a Treasury slush fund Congress never directly controlled.
Inflation is a transfer mechanism. The first spender captures real value; every subsequent holder absorbs the loss. In 1934, the Treasury was the first spender. Your parents and grandparents were not.
Sound money constrains government, and governments destroy it for that reason.

You don’t fully grasp how much of your life is tracked until you’re sitting in a courtroom, watching federal prosecutors use your digital history against you, down to your most harmless Google searches. Your entire life becomes an open book, and even your most innocent actions can be twisted into something sinister.
They get to tell the most damning version of your story. To tell yours in your own words, you have to take the stand.

MOST OFFENSIVE BLOCK OF THE DAY
967440
txs= 26
spam_txs=7
block_size= 3983345 bytes
spam_size= 3977669 bytes
block_fees= 1508762 sats
spam_fees= 1412274 sats
This block was 4MB in size, it only contained 19 monetary transactions.
99.86% of the block size is spam garbage.
Monetary transactions paid on average 17.00 sats/byte in miner fees while the garbage spam paid on average 0.36 sat/byte in miner fees.
So monetary transactions paid 47x more in fees per block space than spam garbage did.
Every single of the 90,000 nodes will have to store and relay this garbage for free until the end of times.
And retarded core devs don't want to do a single fucking thing about it.
Their answer is that if you don't like cat pictures "it's like not my problem like as a dev".
The red squares are garbage spam and the blue ones are monetary transactions. See if you can spot them.

This is the first time I mostly hold BTC as an investment. For the NGU.
Before, it was the biggest no-brainer far beyond that.
It was the exit. The rock solid, unfuckable-with store of value. Separation of money from state. No third parties. Sovereignty. Digital truth in the form of a lean monetary ledger.
Those qualities have, in my opinion, eroded a lot. Slow capture. More centralization. More relativizing and fiatizing of what Bitcoin is for. And there are seemingly no brakes. Just cheering when the people who still wanted Bitcoin to be money, not data storage, lost.
Nodes decide, not miners. That used to be shared ground. Now it will get you ridiculed.
I do not see the current trajectory, governance capture, or mining concentration reversing, not with the current attitude and behavior from the suits, the influencers and the social layer in general. That is why my faith in the project today is much weaker than it used to be.
I am not calling the Blake2b chain Bitcoin.
I am glad the fork happened. It is a live attempt to reassert principles a lot of us thought were settled: monetary protocol, hostile to spam, nodes enforcing rules, miners do not get to veto by selling block space for JPEGs and other non-monetary use.
Whether it works at any meaningful scale is unknown. The energy around it is real. That resonates more with me than victory laps from people who treated BIP-110 as a joke and then celebrated when centralized hashpower blocked it.
My position:
I am not selling my BTC.
I am not telling anyone else to sell.
I intend to hold both sides for now.
Nobody should be buying or selling either side of this split yet. The dust has not settled, liquidity is a joke, and rushed claim tools are how you lose funds.
I urge everyone to make their own, well researched and responsible decisions.
Most of my attention and interest now goes to the chain that still treats spam as spam, instead of inviting more of it and saying the debate is settled.
A paradigm shift is needed. What are we fighting for? To preserve Bitcoin SHA-256? I don't think so. Bitcoin SHA-256 is just a tool. Although I must admit it's a tool with massive accumulated network effects. But let's get back to basics. We are fighting for financial sovereignty, separating money from the state, peer-to-peer electronic cash, and freedom to transact. Those are the things we are fighting for.
In case you haven't noticed, Bitcoin SHA-256 as a collective has all but abandoned these goals. Sure, people chant mantras, but they're not backed by serious action. The prevailing talking heads actively try to redefine Bitcoin and rarely mention the real objectives worth fighting for. Just days after BIP-110 failed on the SHA-256 chain, talk of tail emissions and demurrage re-emerged. I predict those items will continually be tested until the original Bitcoin ethos is sufficiently diluted and they can be implemented.
@LukeDashjr is choosing to fight for the underlying principles Bitcoin SHA-256 was built to address. He's doing that via the Blake2b fork after attempting to bring Bitcoin SHA-256 back on track. You and others insulting him by saying he's 'taking his toys and leaving' is a gross mischaracterization and warrants a serious apology. Just because you don't share his vision or recognize the capture doesn't mean his motives are impure or he's taking the easy way out. I would venture to say he's willing to put his money where his mouth is, make a great personal sacrifice, with the vision and mission to preserve Bitcoin's foundational ethos.
Go ahead, resort to name-calling and other forms of insults. Add me to the list of those crazy people who think Bitcoin's founding principles are the real battlefront, not Bitcoin SHA-256. I'm in great company with @loogart, @GrassFedBitcoin, @mattkratter, @cguida6, @Roughnecks110, and countless others.
I've said it before; I'll say it again. It takes a unique individual to sacrifice and move toward the greater good despite personal risk and loss. Satoshi set a pretty selfless example with his work and the untouched Bitcoin he left as a bounty. The risk of failure for Bitcoin Blake2b is very high and very real. The risk of failure for Bitcoin SHA-256 is much higher than you think.
Again, what are you going to do to fight to preserve Bitcoin's founding principles? Or do you already believe the prevailing narrative on SHA-256?

Except everything. Fair launch. No pre mine. Best possible consensus rules. Fully decentralized asic mining from day one. Exchanges in a precarious spot for listing it (split coins or not). A development team that has no interest in selling out for fiat or BTC gains. First ever
And then you express concerns about why there are less kids born every year.
You want parents to bear full responsibility, but deprive them of all the rights.
You make parentship such a liability that people opt out.
True
"Carnivore is expensive."
It is. Just not for you.
The supplement company loses the multivitamin, the fish oil, the magnesium, the vitamin D, the probiotic and the fibre sachet. Forty pounds a month, gone, and after twenty years of loyal service you didn't even leave a note.
The cereal manufacturer loses breakfast. Not a smaller box. The entire meal, every morning, for the rest of your life. Somewhere a tiger in a scarf is updating his CV.
The snack aisle loses the 11am biscuit, the 3pm crash and the thing you buy at the petrol station because you are suddenly ravenous at a Shell garage. All three vanish the week your blood sugar flattens out, which was never in the business plan.
The seed oil industry loses a customer who bought it twice over, once in the bottle and once hidden inside everything else on the shelf. They were quite proud of that second one.
The pharmacy loses the antacid, the laxative, the ibuprofen for your joints and the paracetamol for the headaches you had assumed were simply your personality.
Your surgery loses the seven-minute appointment about the reflux, and the repeat prescription that was booked in to renew itself quietly until roughly 2039.
The diet industry loses the app, the subscription, the points, the meal replacement shake and the January relapse the entire model is built on. You have effectively cancelled Christmas for them.
The coffee shop loses the pastry, because you stopped wanting it, which is somehow the most offensive part.
The supermarket loses two thirds of its floor space. You now shop from one counter and walk past the rest of the building like it owes you money.
Add up what leaves the bill and the meat has paid for itself several times over before you have eaten a single bite of it.
They are not wrong that somebody is losing money here.
They are just very careful never to say who.

“Tail emissions and Demurrage”
Such cool concepts for slaying the 21M cap.
Under the current regime, this is a matter of time.
Five years ago, anyone saying it’s hard to define spam, or hard to say what Bitcoin is, would be shunned and laughed out of the room.
Compromise on ethos and integrity is a slippery slope.
I give it five years until people against tail emissions and demurrage are ridiculed by Big Bitcoin and their simps as delusional non technical retards.

The fact that they allowed a HARDFORK to happen over a TEMPORARY SOFTFORK that patches exploits that left unchecked will centralize nodes really shows you that bitcoin core and the half a dozen centralized miners do not care about Bitcoin and the long term health of the network.

What BIP110 showed us is more important than BIP110. We were trying to take out a benign cyst, and when we opened the patient, we found cancer everywhere.
