Sir it's spelled Terre. I'd be happy to walk you through this data. The 2020 numbers do not include our sanitary district budget ($34M) or our ARPA budgets. Neither of those include property taxes. We are receiving less property tax $ in 2025 due to the circuit breaker.
The link to this piece is in the comments While this data looks at property taxes nationwide, there are plenty of takeaways for Hoosiers. 1. Indianapolis has seen the 2nd highest jump in the nation for property taxes from 2019-2023 (19%) 2. Terra Haute’s city budget rose from $74 million in 2020, to $140 million in 2024. 3. Nationwide public schools spend $20 billion annually on DEI Giving Hoosiers immediate property tax relief is what Governor Braun and I ran on during our campaign. It’s why Hoosiers elected us by an overwhelming margin and have given us a mandate to make these changes. The time to act is now!

Dear @BigLugCanteen - for a few years now I have referred to your Chicken Cranberry salad as my favorite salad in the city. But today I had the Jenny Salad at Roost and…oh my. Please consider making it available on the Big Lug menu because I need more of it in my life.

Starbucks is opening a new location in downtown Indianapolis about 1,000 feet from the location it closed in 2022 because of crime and which is now occupied by another coffee shop.

I will remain on record saying Indianapolis is where Nashville or Austin was in the 1990s. Relatively low cost of living, great universities, and low taxes in a capital city are a rare combo.
The Indianapolis metro area has been the largest contributor to economic growth in the Midwest over the last three yearsβ€”pretty amazing growth considering it's half the population of Detroit MSA and less than 1/4 the population of Chicago MSA

A back door cold front looks to move in early Wednesday, bringing us an east wind. No rain is forecast, but instead, hot and humid weather! #alwx #tnwx #valleywx

The unemployment rate has been under 4% for 16 months in a row. The last time our nation had such a long stretch of low unemployment was in the 1960s. Our economic plan is working.
