Michigan finally went with what has been working in the second half and hammered interior runs for 14 carries, 141 yards.
Also, for the first time this season, by a significant margin, Michigan used zone running schemes more than gap.
Much more in the Grade Session article.
Tommy Carr changed the game, possibly the season, but was he the biggest change on Michigan’s offense?
Stats, grades, and interactive charts on the QB switch, the dramatic run-game change, first vs. second half, and what it all means moving forward.

Interesting that the frenzy online isn’t what it was from the last time because the big brand people were rooting against was the one who got screwed this time around
Big 12 statement:
"Following the Big 12’s review of the final play of Saturday’s Notre Dame-BYU game, it was determined that time remained on the clock when the ball hit the ground and the play was incorrectly cleared by the replay officiating crew. The Conference will conduct a complete review of its end-of-game officiating process in advance of next week's games."

Switched to TC14 and Beck starts calling north/south runs and changes the base personnel lol

I don’t want to be unkind, but if Jason Beck would like to get up and walk out of the stadium and never come back, I’d have no problem with that.

I’m as excited about Tommy Carr as anyone but nothing is fundamentally changing so long as you have a terrorist at OC

Nothing wrong with this answer; they didn't ask Tommy to do much. I think it's obvious you have to make the change at this point, but there needs to be an explanation for the change in play-calling and scheme in the second half. No reason Underwood couldn't have straight-give in pistol, split zone, majority 11 personnel.
Kyle Whittingham says he's not prepared to say Tommy Carr will be the starter moving forward. Needs to look at the film and evaluate what improved in the second half.

the stretch run to Hiter on that drive - no rhino. So the three biggest runs of the game... and three of the biggest of the season: split stretch to Kuzdzal for a TD, stetch to Hiter for 18 yards, and QB counter read for Tommy -- all with no rhino

Tony Pettiti is the worst commissioner in the history of college football.
Big Ten Commissioner Tony Petitti on a potential 16-team CFP: "I don’t think it works economically," and cites the data for the loss of championship games being $200 million for the A4. Also: "I don’t think it gives enough access."

As the College Football Playoff expands yet again, it's important to note that all titles since the CFP expanded for the '24 season and beyond deserve an asterisk and the last pure National Championship belongs to the 15-0 University of Michigan Wolverines in 2023.
God bless.

Bryce Underwood’s arm gets hit ball flys up and it gets picked off and everyone claims he can’t read defenses.
Meanwhile Arch Manning hit the defender in the fucking numbers with the game on the line and nobody is questioning his ability to read defenses.
