This term I am teaching an IED approach to game design remotely using predominantly scissors and cardboard. Here I used the short break in rain to explore options for teaching theory related to character design. Inspired by the work of Charles Freger.
"Spanning reality and fantasy, play is understood to offer a means of exploring challenging ideas and feelings in a way that gives children a degree of distance and control."
Wonderful piece about how children are playing during the pandemic. Creativity abounds as expected!

We are social animals, we have a natural concern for other members of our community. It's they on whom our lives depend. This is why we need to teach our children about their emotions and how to tackle those that are destructive. Our aim is a community of healthy human beings.
The secret to learning is so simple: forget about it. Think only about whatever you love. Follow it, do it, dream about it. And if you need a nudge, I’m here: [email protected]
