I didn't go to medical school, sacrifice my 20's and early 30's to become a "provider". I did it to become a "Doctor." Happy to collaborate on care for patients, but at the end of the day, I'm going to lead the team because it's what I've trained to do.

The replies to this show how deep the insanity goes when it comes to religion. Just another dude getting a surgery.

Jesus got nothing to do with this, #Pope LeoBro. You boutta be helped by #SCIENCE. Let’s go #medicine Wooooooooooooo.
Dear friends, during some recent medical examinations, the doctors found a small, localized nodule in my lung. It was detected at a very early stage and is well-localized. The doctors believe that it is best to intervene, so, following their advice, I have decided to undergo surgery to remove it. The operation is already scheduled to take place in the coming days. I thank you for your spiritual closeness and entrust myself to your prayers.

A new Clinical Practice article summarizes the classification, evaluation, risk stratification, and management of syncope. History, examination, electrocardiography, and orthostatic blood-pressure measurement identify the cause in most patients. Dear Program Directors: Punishing an applicant for a letter they didn’t write, and waived their right to review is absolute horse shit and you should choose a different fucking hill to die on. May all the DVT consults find this hematologist.
Dear letter-writers: NEVER address your letters of recommendation to "Dear Sirs" if you want me to read your letter. You are only hurting the person on whose behalf you are writing. Sincerely, a woman program director. #GenderEquity

As a chief resident, I had a NP on my team that would slow my rounds with the attending by orders of magnitude. One day, I told her I literally lost my Chapstick and if she could use her nursing knowledge to help me out, I’d appreciate. Rounds went fast, AND I got my chapstick!
Tbh if this happened to me, I'm running STAT to the patient's room and figuring out if they want tinted chapstick, what flavor...like don't you worry, I will make sure your lips stay moisturized and you look FRESH 💅🏼

I don’t think the answer @SalaryDr was looking for was for Jesse Morse to talk about how he left medicine to start grifting. (This guy is a fuckin clown by the way). @AmputationSuck giving sound advice tho.

Evidence that medicine is really just a bunch of people playing hot potato with medicolegal liability
Radiologists are getting really good At the bottom of every clinical note I have for my oncology patients I have a list of incidentalomas I have to keep track of so I don’t get sued.

As long as we may euthanize you if you require any medical care, you do you. If you want in on the group discount, wear the belt we all agreed to wear when we let you in at those prices.

GI Version: If you have a GI bleed, 8AM Monday through Wednesday is the only time we scope. If you’ve taken aspirin in the last ten years, we require a 7 day washout. Plavix is 2 months with follow up in Transfusion and GI Bleed Clinic.
Hot take from the trenches: If you rupture an aneurysm, 4 AM might be your best shot at surviving. Fresh teams walking in. ORs open. No backlog. No delays. And none of us mind getting woken up when it matters most. Timing isn’t everything, but it does matter.

As a vascular surgeon - I have no idea what you’re trying to show us in this picture.
YA'LL I FOUND A SOURCE FOR MY POTS. WITH OVER 50% VEIN COMPRESSION, I AM ELIGIBLE FOR STENT PLACEMENT. This causes Sinus tachycardia Exercise intolerance Pelvic pain Back pain Pain with intercourse @Dr_Sudi was so sweet and let me cry because I could finally see what was causing my issues without seeming like a psychosomatic young woman who just needed therapy. I had passed my tilt table test and Raynaud's Test, and it was so disheartening and frustrating to me because I couldn't figure out what was wrong after consulting 15 doctors.
