ALT Black background with a gray tree and a flock of birds flying. At the center is a teal circle with white text ft. a quote from Dr. MLK Jr. that reads, “"Power without love is reckless and abusive, and love without power is sentimental and anemic. Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice, and justice at its best is power correcting everything that stands against love."

ALT Power, justice, and love are interconnected. Balancing these entities influences our ability to thrive together–as a classroom, community, and nation. We invite your students and you to consider the critical events and crises impacting our world today and to reflect on the following questions together: What can each of us contribute to sustain a balance of power, love, and justice in our classroom? On a greater scale, how do we wield our power as a community to address injustices? What will we do to ensure our actions are guided by love “at its best”?
