An aerial view of the 'Unfinished Obelisk' in the 3500-year-old granite quarry in Aswan, Egypt. The unfinished obelisk is nearly one-third larger than any ancient Egyptian obelisk ever erected. This obelisk, which is 25m long today, if it had been finished by the ancient Egyptians, would be almost measured around 41.75m (137.0 ft) and would have weighed nearly 1,090 tonnes, a weight equal to about 200 African elephants. #Africa

Something beautiful for the weekend! An extraordinary Acheulean handaxe knapped around a fossil shell circa 500,000-300,000 years ago. The maker appears to have deliberately flaked around the shell to preserve and place it in a central position. As a result this handaxe has been described as an early example of artistic thought. Which board-level decision-making factors are relevant to AI initiatives 💡 By @mikeflache 👍
Which board-level decision-making factors are relevant to AI initiatives 💡 Last week, I was a guest at two board-level conversations on #ArtificialIntelligence. Our dialogue focused on the question of which relevant decision-making factors the #Csuite ideally takes into account in #AI initiatives. ➡️ I'd like to summarize some important considerations at board level: 📌 Investment and ROI AI can be a significant investment for any organization. Board members would do well to carefully consider the potential return on investment and ensure that the benefits of AI outweigh the costs. 📌 Talent acquisition and retention AI requires specialized skills, and it is important to ensure that the organization has the necessary talent to implement and maintain AI systems. Board members would do well to consider the potential impact of AI on the workforce and ensure that appropriate training and development programs are in place. 📌 Data privacy and security AI relies heavily on data, and it is important to ensure that this data is protected. Board members would do well to consider the potential risks of data breaches and ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place. 📌 Ethical considerations AI can be a powerful tool, but it is important to ensure that it is used in an ethical and responsible manner. Board members would do well to consider the potential impact of AI on employees, customers, and society as a whole. ➡️ By staying informed and keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in the field, board members can help ensure that their organization is well positioned to benefit from the many advantages of AI while minimizing potential risks. As always, your thoughts are welcome! #DigitalTransformation #BusinessGrowth #CEOs cc @pchamard @enilev @Khulood_Almani @antgrasso @DeepLearn007 @Shi4Tech @CurieuxExplorer @FrRonconi @chidambara09 @AlbertoEMachado @PawlowskiMario @c4trends @Hana_ElSayyed @DeepLearn007 @mvollmer1 @drsharwood @Nicochan33 @FGraillot @nafisalam @efipm @KanezaDiane @pierrepinna @debashis_dutta @Analytics_699 @Corix_JC @Xbond49 @amalmerzouk @stratorob @RagusoSergio @EstelaMandela @sonu_monika @RLDI_Lamy @TheAdityaPatro @JagersbergKnut @IanLJones98 @enricomolinari @jeancayeux @psb_dc @FinMKTG @gerald_bader @ipfconline1 @baski_LA @avrohomg @data_nerd @sallyeaves @bimedotcom @HaroldSinnott @c4trends @pierrecappelli @BetaMoroney

i'm blown away by how creative websites from the 90s were, despite the constraints. with slower internet speeds, websites needed to be more efficient, prioritizing function over style. but yet, they still managed to be useful and have flair. i've curated 15 of my favorites👇🧵

The British TV show "Teletubbies" aired from 1997 to 2001. Contrary to their on-screen appearance, the characters were huge: Tinky Winky was 10 feet tall, Po was 6 feet 6 inches, Laa-Laa was 6 feet 5 inches, and Dipsy was 8 feet. To make them appear small, the show was filmed on a massive set in Wimpstone, Warwickshire, which was kept secret for a long time. However, once the show's location became known, it became an unintended tourist spot, with people trespassing to visit the "Tubbytronic Superdome." Frustrated with the disturbances, the landowners decided to flood the set.
