Today I was asked, what do teachers do in the summer with 2 months off? I thought carefully before responding, the school year is like a marathon so the first month of summer is spent recovering and the second month is spent training and preparing for the next one. 😉 Point made! – at Cutler, FL

Don't always rush to help students on their classwork. Don't rush to help them with their social issues.
We need to let students struggle through things sometimes, stand on their own two feet, in order to develop students that are resilient and problem-solvers. #growthmindset

Teachers don’t always need to inspire kids. Sometimes, it’s enough just to be nice to them. It’s hard to be a kid.

It is critical for the principal to set the example of what behaviors are acceptable in the school. This requires consistency and a congruence between what the leader says and does. Inconsistency results in confusion and staff often not believing the words of the principal.

Principals, challenge yourself to learn something about each student in your school.
Teachers, challenge yourself to learn something about each student on your class roster(s).
Knowing something about them helps you learn their names more quickly.
