We responded to another bridge strike in @cityburlington today. Arm on excavator was not stowed low enough for clearance under the bridge during transport & struck the bridge.
Impact so forceful that all load securement failed & machine jettisoned.

In May 2022, Abhijeet Singh, Gurkaran Singh and Khushveer Toor killed Abbotsford couple Arnold De Jong, 77, and Joanne De Jong, 76, in a financially motivated home invasion. The couple was bound; Arnold’s head was duct-taped shut and he suffocated, while Joanne was beaten and her throat slit. The three were convicted of first-degree murder in May 2026. On Oct. 19, 2026, Justice Brenda Brown ruled the Criminal Code ban on the faint-hope clause for multiple murderers unconstitutional as cruel and unusual punishment, potentially allowing parole review after 15 years instead of 25. Sentencing is delayed to February 2027.
