Customers don't care about your business model.
They care about their problem.
They care about their return on investment.
AI. Human. Software.
Doesn't matter.
Solve their problem for their budget you win.
I can tell you guys with confidence why AirOps is going into services:
1. In-house teams are generally under-resourced and overloaded with competing priorities.
2. They need a “strategic partner” to help them navigate through the complexity of a workflow automation tool like AirOps.
3. Most in-house marketers have not developed the skills to properly set-up, manage and deploy a tool like AirOps.
4. Nobody really understands reporting for AEO and working with a “strategist” can ease some of that pressure.
5. The old model of “agency + writers” is not appealing anymore. Shiny new automation tool + platform strategist just sounds way better.
This feels very much like a glorified agency account manager play from AirOps.
Will it work for them? Maybe. Maybe not. Let’s see.
Sounds like Stripe needs more deposits to loan against
Fuck stripe.

We submitted over $1 million in processing statements from another payment processor.
Looking down from their Ivory tower, believing they have the justification to hold 25% of our gross revenue until they see fit.
Respectfully go fuck yourself.
This is the exact reason we diversify payment processors.
If you only have one or two ways to collect credit cards, you are setting yourself up for failure.
Even Chief Evens can't believe he has to do this

First time I’ve seen clickable phone numbers inside meta descriptions of Google organic results. This new?
Pick your competitors wisely and create these on other sites...
PSA (and I'm going to use all caps for this one):
STOP CREATING LISTICLES ON YOUR WEBSITE THAT INCLUDE YOUR COMPETITORS. NOW.
YOU ARE REINFORCING THEIR POSITION. YOU ARE DOING THEIR MARKETING FOR THEM. YOU ARE ENDORSING THEM.
IF YOU HAVE A LISTICLE ON YOUR WEBSITE AND ARE NOT CONSISTENTLY APPEARING IN THE *ANSWER* - DELETE IT. IT IS WORKING AGAINST YOU.
MEANINGLESS CITATION AND 'VISIBILITY' LINE GO UP? COMPETITOR ENTRENCHMENT GO UP HARDER.
YOU ARE LITERALLY HANDING YOUR COMPETITORS THE *PERFECT* CITATION.
IN OLD MONEY, THIS IS THE EQUIVALENT OF *LINKING* TO ALL YOUR COMPETITORS.
IT IS UTTER MADNESS.
Anyway, how's your Sunday going?
It should make every man alive feel good knowing the greatest QB to ever lace 'em up can't get his hips firing before his shoulders either without help
The irony here is that most “all in” single focus efforts end up overbuilding or with several offerings under one wrapper because they must grow over time.
This is why once inside, you see companies don’t do one thing, they do a main thing plus a bunch of other things too.
I’m a huge fan of @levelsio and people like @marclou who build in public.
But I can’t help wondering… if they put all of that energy into a single company, would the eventual exit be worth 20x more than everything they earn across all those projects?
Then again, I also know that’s probably not how they’re wired. Building lots of things is what makes them successful in the first place.
The “let’s own a term” strategy works if you have millions (billions) to spend engraining it into an industry or you’ve got a top 1% audience to self distribute.
If that’s not you, you’re better off riding on the whales who do, otherwise expect to be drowned out.
Regulars go to diners for the people, not the unique product model
If I was starting a new company today, I'd start a small pie shop on the corner somewhere. Counter service with some stools, incandescent lighting, just a few pie choices in a rotating display, and a mug for coffee. Probably call it "A piece of pie and a coffee, please". One flat price. Coffee and a slice of pie included. Don't want the coffee? Don't drink it. Don't want the pie? Don't eat it.
I don’t think SEO is harder today than it was 20 years ago, it’s just more expensive and less stable requiring more conviction to invest into it.
Zero-click gets the headlines, but AI traffic grew 393% last year and converts better than traditional traffic (for now).
The visitors to your website are changing. Not all of them are human.
Your Google Business Profile is ready, but your website is probably not.
AI seems to over-reward a brands specificity of positioning atm…
“We are X for Y when they need Z”
Anthropic and OpenAI must monitor what each other sends out bc every time
I see an email from one minutes later here’s one from the other…
How can all these people book my agency 10-20 meetings a month when they can’t even get me to respond to their outreach?
