[NOT TO BE MISSED] As part of the July G20 Finance Track meetings, Professor Susan Athey of the Stanford Graduate School of Business will deliver a lecture on how artificial intelligence (AI) and digitisation are reshaping productive activity. The talk will highlight how AI is driving the creation of low-cost, customisable software, enabling analogue firms to digitise, which in turn boosts productivity and lowers barriers for entrepreneurs. AI is also altering industry dynamics by changing barriers to entry and scale economies – sometimes increasing them through proprietary data, and in other cases reducing them. The event will be livestreamed on the G20 and SA Reserve Bank YouTube channels. 📅 Date: 16 July 2025 🕠 Time: 13:30 – 15:00 📺 Watch live here: bit.ly/3GyMFgm or here: bit.ly/44PTXFP For more information, visit the official G20 website: g20.org #G20SouthAfrica #ReKaofela
