I'm voting for @GJohnsonNotts to be a West Bridgford South councillor on Thursday. Teacher and SENDCo who has a plan to actually fix issues in our area.

“In one measure, closer arrangements with Europe are just common sense, they are a nearby trading partner” said David Davis. He’s not quick, but he’s getting there. thelondoneconomic.com/politi…

During the meeting with UK Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer, we discussed the implementation of the Victory Plan and support for our defense industry. An important element of the Victory Plan is providing Ukraine with long-range weaponry and granting permission to use it against military targets on Russian territory. I am grateful to Keir Starmer and the entire British people for standing with us during this challenging time. We take great pride in the strong bilateral relations between our nations.

Tried to send a book to a friend in Ireland. It has just come back (over a month later) with a label on it saying it's 'non-compliant to customs regulations'. Brexit never stops giving, does it?

Still getting over the fact that a lunatic can stand up in front of a crowd and scream about migrants eating cats and dogs and it gets him elected. Maybe I'll never get over it.

Britain’s need for Europe just shot up. Trump will raise US tariffs on UK exports: we'll need more trade with Europe. Putin will be emboldened in cyberwarfare, political interference & military aggression: security & defence needs will need Europe-wide cooperation.

Today represents the greatest defeat for western liberalism since World War 2. The difference with the Berlin Wall, the fall of Saigon, and the Cuban revolution - candidates for this accolade - is that today's events are being willingly carried out by Americans inside America.

Trump becomes the oldest president ever inaugurated. The first president elected for a non-consecutive term since Grover Cleveland. The only president re-elected after a successful impeachment, let alone two. The only president to be convicted of a crime, then re-elected.
