Seems like a good moment to point out I've quite enjoyed being on mastodon since november. 🙂 I get that it's not for everyone and it has its own set of problems but for me and the type of folks I follow it's made for a fairly decent alternative.

I've seen a lot of people asking "why does everyone think Twitter is doomed?" As an SRE and sysadmin with 10+ years of industry experience, I wanted to write up a few scenarios that are real threats to the integrity of the bird site over the coming weeks.

Oh man I forgot to download my Twitter archive and now it won't send me a verification link so I'm probably SOL.

Genuinely appreciate that phones give alerts for this now, helped to confirm it wasn't a giant truck that just hit the house

After 16 months of work I'm ready to share slowroads.io, my project to procedurally generate scenic landscapes, packaged as a chill driving game. Built with @threejs to run in your browser - no logins, no installs, just roads... #threejs #procedural #webgl

What the hell man
The Pokemon Go professor grinning widely and giving a big thumbs up with the overlay text stating: "You know, they say Yamask carry masks that used to be their faces when they were human. Sometimes they look at them and cry."

Ah, 30 years. I was so obsessed with these games as a teen. I collected all the MK material I could and (mis)spent hours just learning every character's moves. I don't really know why! I wasn't even very good and most of the time just played the crappy Game Boy versions.

30 Years of Mortal Kombat. Can you share your first experience with MK? Where were you? Which MK was it? What do you remember?

Meta is working on its Chromium-based engine for the In-App Facebook Mobile Browser. It will replace the webview currently in use on Android for that browsing experience. As you know, Apple won't accept that engine in iOS and iPadOS. engineering.fb.com/2022/09/3…
