This summer I had the opportunity to attend The First World War: Past, Present, and Future put on by @FwwNetwork in Edinburgh. I was there to talk about jackpeirs.org a Digital Humanities project. It was great to talk to archives users. @jackpeirs #AskAnArchivist

Anyone know where these incredible papers found their home? .. #WW1 #Armistice #History #Research #museums #Compiegne @IWM_Centenary @GuildofBG @TheWFA @herts_at_war @CVHISTORYFEST @UCL_FWWCBTP @FwwNetwork – at East, England
#AuctionUpdate A collection of Captain Jack Marriott's letters, typescript and other ephemera give a remarkably vivid account of the atmosphere and personalities of the Armistice negotiations. These eye-witness materials achieve £15,000 at today's auction. #Christies #London

Maybe move onto WWII, this year being the 75th Anniversary of the Kohima Battle, often referred as the Stalingrad of the East, interest in the Burma Campaign in our region is picking up.

Really loved this paper tracing German memorialisation through the inter-war years. Plenty of questions for Katherine. @FwwNetwork #FWWPPF

Australian newspaper evidence for this from 1890s. Not much from the decade of the war but found this humorous 'letter' from 1918.
