Fellow artists, how did y'all figure out which favorite artists of yours to take elements from for your styles? I have a whole bunch of favorites but I like all of them equally as much. I'm thinking of stuff like anyone who uses heavy shadows

Like David finch and Mike mignola. I love the proportions of early Stephen platt and early Rob liefeld and the poses of kaare Andrews, along with the neck veins of dale keown. Simon bisley also has gorgeous colors.

I only recently started reading comics online because my knowledge is limited to what I've seen in YouTube vids, I saw a whole bunch of DC comics at my local dollar tree and figured I should get some, I have had a few larper moments before in the past though.
