James Talarico skipped out on the Hispanic business leaders, canceled on the Central Texas African American Civic Engagement Symposium, and tried to pass off old content as new.
He doesn’t get to reappear like nothing happened after ghosting the 31 million Texans he wants to represent for two weeks.
The “flu” didn’t stop him from meeting with New York billionaires and Hollywood elites, or from partying with celebrities at a music festival most working Texans don’t have the luxury of attending, especially after taking two weeks off work. Must be nice after two weeks of PTO.
We need a Railroad Commissioner with industry experience and common sense, not a culture-war crusader who fantasizes about getting naked at gay pride events.

Young, patriotic, and proud to be Texas Republicans🇺🇸🤠
Young Republicans of Texas were approved yesterday at the SREC meeting to continue their partnership with RPT, going strong since they chartered in 2023!
We love seeing young people engaged, having fun, and proudly standing up for Texas and America. It was a great day for the next generation of Texans and the future of RPT! 🎉🐘
SEE YALL TOMORROW!

This is surprising and premature to say the least. As we look ahead to the fee hearing for our legal costs, we have seen no apologies or contrition for the abusive three-year campaign TYRF waged against us—which was not limited to the lawfare that we finally defeated this summer.
Real unity requires real accountability.
I'm hearing that Texas Young Republicans Federation is applying to the @TexasGOP Partnerships and Coalitions Committee.
I'll just make clear that their lawsuit against @YRsOfTexas is ongoing. There is a hearing in the case relating to the attorneys' fees/costs TYRF owes set to be heard September 28th.
TYRF has made no effort to make amends for their actions in suing YRT, has made no apology for attempting to "drag YRT's members into the gutter of the justice system," has made no offers to settle the litigation despite repeated defeats. In fact, the last we've heard, they are still considering appealing those losses to the Texas Supreme Court.
I have no idea why on earth RPT would want two rival youth auxiliaries—one full of patriots who are committed to the party and its platform, and one who disavowed the party and filed years of vexatious litigation against a bunch of young Republican activists.
The lies don’t work anymore, Erick.
It’s not “racism” to demand that politicians finally listen to what Americans have been saying for decades:
“NO MORE IMMIGRATION”
A group of white guys have subtly inserted themselves into conservative institutions and church organizations. They all embrace racial grievances. To varying degrees, they embrace white nationalism, antisemitism, and even Nazi sympathies. They are getting added to conservative institutional boards, attempting to purge churches, and are desperate to indoctrinate young conservatives into fascist ideology. They even surround the Vice President of the United States. Some of them believe the United States is at a tipping point, and they want to push it over the edge and rebuild it in their image. You might think it does not affect you, but, in time, you will see their efforts in your church pews, in your kids’ brains, and in your politicians’ mouths. It begins with shampoo.

It’s an unfortunate coincidence that American cultural decline perfectly tracks with the number of foreigners here.
It makes people think our principles are eroded by importing populations with different principles. But really, it’s our fault.
Truly nightmarish coincidence.
Replying to @kangminlee
Cultural decline comes from abandoning principles. Tyranny comes from abandoning them to seize power. Treating the former as justification for the latter is neither Christian nor American. We don’t have to choose between decay or a dictatorship. That's a false choice that pretends the hard-but-necessary path isn't available to us. Appreciate the honesty, though, that you're against principles.

Details matter: Texas law does not say 90% of UT freshmen must be U.S. citizens.
Education Code §54.052 says who counts as a resident: someone who established a Texas domicile at least one year before the term and kept it; there is zero mention of citizenship.
Because H-1B workers can establish domicile their H-4 kids who live here and finish a Texas high school get pulled into the resident bucket for admissions and tuition.
So “only 4% international” is a visa-label number. It does not tell you how many non-citizens are already sitting inside the 90% “Texas resident” seats.
If the claim is that the law protects Texans, publish resident freshmen by citizenship and visa. Until then, quoting the 90% rule as a rebuttal is incomplete.
This is a major candidate for elected office mainstreaming anti-Indian racism.
He knows that Texas state law requires at least 90% of UT Austin freshmen to be Texas residents. International students comprise only 4% of recent freshmen.
But presumably he sees political advantage in using a non-representative photo (of culturally assimilated South Asians!) to suggest a foreign takeover of the university.
Holy Motte and Bailey.
Liberals read this post and say “well what about the Mexicans??” We’re not talking about Tejanos that have been here for generations and built Texas alongside Anglo settlers.
We’re talking about people who showed up yesterday with their hands out.

Yeah, cry “racism” when young Americans identify the rotten fruits of your generation’s failures.
Americans shouldn’t have to compete with all 7 billion people in the world—who cares what color they are.
There can be no assimilation when immigrants outnumber natives.
Heritage Americans aren’t losing a fair fight. They’re being locked out of their own birthright by ethnic cartels and anti-White socialists.

This problem is much bigger than just UT.
All our schools waitlist American kids, while opening their doors to foreign students. Now there's over 1 million foreign students in U.S. Higher Education.
America must prioritize Americans, always.

When the flags of Spain and Mexico flew over Texas, there were many Josés, but scarcely a Pooja to be found.
When the flag of France flew over Texas, there were many Jeans, but scarcely a Pooja to be found.
When the Lone Star flew over the Republic of Texas, and later the flag of the Confederacy, there were many Johns, but scarcely a Pooja to be found.
Then came the Stars and Stripes. Beneath it, Josés and Jeans and Johns lived together — some rooted in the soil for generations, others more newly arrived — each with a different claim upon the land and its history.
Then, five seconds ago, Pooja arrived.
She surveyed the descendants of all those who had come before her, announced that she was every bit as Texan as they were, and informed them that if they didn’t like it, they were free to leave.
The weepy moralizing is disgusting. Why doesn’t your heart break for the Heritage Texans who were locked out of opportunity at our state flagship?
Every spot that goes to an immigrant is a spot taken away from Texans whose families made UT a world class university.
It’s not “anti-Indian racism” to say that Heritage Americans deserve not to be replaced in their own home.
UT should be serving Texas, not the entire world.
