When they tell you what they intend to do, believe them.
This is why @JeffClarkUS’s new firm is so important.
ON UCHICAGO CAMPUS: U.S. Senator from Michigan Elissa Slotkin hopes planned political prosecutions of republican leaders will scare young conservatives from getting involved in politics.
@ElissaSlotkin
Nothing “quasi” about it. This is obviously a deliberate effort to bias judges in advance of specific, anticipated litigation. This would be the “crime of the century” if Republicans did something similar.
Checks out 100%. I was there at the same time and can confirm this is accurate.
I've known @jamestalarico for nearly 20 years. When we were at @UTAustin in 2009, he ran the University Democrats and I ran the College Republicans. Although we disagreed, I once considered him a friend. But then he betrayed the entire student body for his own political gain.🧵
And yet if Sally Sue wanted to donate $3501 to Paxton’s campaign she’d go to prison for a year.
Campaign speech restrictions are even more stupid than they are evil.

OK for just this week, gonna share our projected NFC standings from behind the paywall because they're kind of hilarious.
*No NFC East or NFC South team projected for a winning record.
*Every* NFC North and NFC West team projected for a winning record except the Cardinals.
One of my all time favorite bar debates was discussing with @ChrisSacia how much damage we personally could have caused in the shortest amount of time at some point in our lives.
As a Navy vet, Chris surmised he could have caused tens of millions of dollars in damage by unharnessing the planes on a flight deck and letting them jostle against each other and into the ocean. That took the cake for those of us who were sitting around a table having a beer.
But I’m thinking now that @DadePhelan and his staff may take the all time prize, and it’s not just a hypothetical! This guy decided to impeach his own party’s sitting AG in four hours on Memorial Day weekend. With that four hours of incompetence, he has literally set hundreds of millions of dollars on fire!
Pure chaos. Literally more destruction of wealth than a bomb. It’s an historic achievement when you stop and think about it.

Guy is literally incompetent to a degree that will be recorded in history books and studied by future generations.

This is WILD. I legit thought it was a skit/high school video project.
It is 100% real.
This is Jaime West (Democratic Party) - she’s running for election for Fayette County Council, District 4 in Indiana.
I had to make sure she did not have a neurological disorder that could account for the slurred speech and insane rambling.
She doesn’t.
And even if she did have a diagnosed neurological disorder, “we have guns too!” after talking about firing all Republicans would ordinarily be disqualifying.

Probation!
A Berkeley chemical engineer who suffered years of unexplained illness discovered through a spy camera from Amazon that her coworker, David Xu, was poisoning her food and water with cadmium, a toxic heavy metal for nearly 18 months between 2017 and 2019. The victim experienced significant health problems and at times required emergency care at a hospital. Newly released video shows Xu appearing to put a substance in her water bottle in 2019.
Xu was arrested that year and charged with attempted murder and two counts of poisoning, offenses that could have sent him to prison for life. But under a plea deal, the attempted murder charge and one poisoning count were dropped. Xu pleaded no contest to one felony poisoning charge and received two years of probation, with credit for one day served. He completed probation in March and is now seeking to have his felony conviction dismissed.

It is a lie, or did they trick a hospital employee into releasing confidential info? It can't be both.
