OMG the 7th in this thread was deleted bc it mentions Alabaster and Penelope, daughter of a Kankleman -- they conceive LA and she dies in childbirth bc her father & the doctor (also Kankle) see the child is Black. F this app. #MSWL #amagenting #BIPOClit

I once worked at a college where at least one woman was denied tenure every year. And they all had stellar careers as junior scholars and faculty. Damn.
Today I learned that @Columbia will not be promoting me or putting me up for tenure. I have multiple active grants (including an R01 and a CAREER award) plenty of publications, a teaching award, and a history of DEI advocacy. Open to all opportunities in and out of academia.
As I finish work on spring projects, I'm thrilled to announce that we've seen 4 dissertations to completion, 3 books to contract, 2 books to agents, & 1 successful book launch!
Summer calendar opens on June 11 -- come and get your love, y'all!!! #blackfeminism #amediting #letsgo
