BREAKING NEWS FOR DDI
This week, I accepted an offer to join the $SOFI team in the Office of the CFO. I couldn't be more thrilled and excited for the opportunity to get to work and have a real positive and tangible effect on this company, the millions of members who use its services, and the shareholders who've invested in the vision to help people get their money right.
This is a huge pivot in my career, and I can't wait for the learning and growth that's ahead of me.
It also means however, that for the foreseeable future, Data Driven Investing is going to wind down. I've loved building this, sharing my analysis, debating back and forth, and learning and interacting with everyone. It's truly been my pleasure to do so. I'll still be here, and I'll definitely be seeing everything you all post, but I won't be talking about SoFi or any other individual equities.
I start December 15, and I can't wait to roll up my sleeves, get to work, and make my footprint bigger than my foot.
FRESH HORSES WE RIDE!

Nobody wanted $SOFI at $7 last summer.
Now everyone is lining up to buy at $30.
The fundamentals were always good enough to support a way higher price.
The market finally caught the vision.
I think there will be continued compounding over the long run from here.
I've said a bunch of times over the past 6 months that the only thing that $SOFI needed to run was a change in sentiment because the fundamentals supported a much higher price.
Sentiment shifted and now everyone is trying to pile in.

Fintech Magazine has placed SOFI's @anthonynoto at No.19 in FinTech Top 100 Leaders for 2025 rankings.
I would put him in TOP5 but who I am to judge. :)

Arizona does not vet new voucher schools.
Not even if the school or the online school “provider” has already failed, or was founded yesterday, or is operating out of a strip mall, or offers just a half hour of instruction per morning.

Two papers.
On the left, a non-randomized, non-crossover study showing that a one-off sauna exposure significantly decreased arterial stiffness, with implications on cardiovascular health.
On the right, a randomized, crossover (more robust) study, showing no benefits on arterial stiffness or blood flow. Note the colossal difference in Altmetric score and media attention.
The media favors sensational but flawed studies over rigorous ones, distorting public understanding. #science #media

Donald Trump will be mad if you retweet this video that's going viral right now following Kamala Harris's decision to go on Fox News to be interviewed by Bret Baier.

Pretty rich coming from a guy who spent 44 billion USD on one of the biggest social media platforms, and then changed its algorithm so that everyone sees his pro-Trump posts first.

A new article by Zeynep claims that scientists lost the public's trust, enabling covid conspiracy theories to form.
I think it's a bad take, and it's mostly missing the story.

What kills me a little inside is that when $SOFI breaks through new 52 week highs there will be people asking if its too late to buy at $12, 14, 15 etc.
Even though they had years to buy at $7 or less.
And in many cases its the same people who are bashing the stock today.

Some people say that $SOFI has no moat...
The data seem to suggest otherwise:

$SOFI On a day like today, remember who was there in the trenches during PEAK FUD dispelling the LIES that were being spread about SoFi and @anthonynoto. 👊🏼
This thread below is worth reading if you don’t already understand how Noto’s SBC works. I have some others from around that time as well if you search PSUs you’ll find them within my profile.
I owe a big thanks to some of the first accounts to welcome me into the Twitter SoFi community. 🙏🏻

It’s worth noting that @anthonynoto’s compensation that some love to complain about, was only valued at ~100 million when the ~6.4 millions shares of PSUs were worth in the high teens. Now it is still 6.4 million shares but at a significantly reduced valuation. $SOFI @SoFiIR

Interesting $SOFI earnings day fact: Q2'23 marks the first time 50% of our growth in revenue dollars year-over-year was attributable to Technology Platform and Financial Services business segments (our **non-lending** segments).
