Las Vegas, August 1995. Our MD-82 N909TW at LAS. The MD-80s were the workhorses of our St. Louis hub, flying folks all over the country day in and day out. #FlyTWA

Pittsburgh, April 1940. One of our Douglas Sleeper Transports, the DC-3's overnight cousin, at Allegheny County Airport. Those narrow upper windows meant a real berth for crossing the country by night. #FlyTWA

Iconic is right. Still looks great after all these years.

Forty years with us, mostly at SFO, is quite a career. Thank you to your father, and what a treasure to still have those inaugural 747 announcements!

Delta's TriStars were great birds too. That aft lav bank was a nice touch, and so was the lower-deck galley with its little elevators. Passengers still talk about both.

Only nine and already a seasoned Atlantic crosser. N770TW sure looked good for her age!

Hard to argue with that! Those RB211s had a sound all their own, and the TriStar was a real favorite with our passengers and crews.

Love seeing a StarStream still out there flying, even virtually! Smooth skies on the way up to Boston.

That first look up at a 707's tail never really leaves you, does it? Thanks for sharing that memory!

London Heathrow, April 1969, looking down the side of our StarStream 707 N770TW from the rear steps. Crossing the Atlantic in style. #FlyTWA

What a great memory, Ricardo! A TriStar ride from Lima to Miami in the late '70s sounds wonderful, and it's fun to hear our logos were still on board. Thanks for sharing!

Riding jumpseat out of St. Louis with your dad in 1989 sounds like the best seat on the airplane. Thanks for flying with us!

A test hop jumpseat with Dave Lindskoog and John Zetzman is one for the logbook, Nick. Thanks for sharing that memory with us!

Our first Lockheed L-1011 TriStars joined the fleet in 1972, bringing wide-body comfort to routes all across America. Here's one of ours in May 1981. Did you ever fly on one of our TriStars? #FlyTWA

Have a great time at Mission: 60s, Mike! Our Flight Center at JFK is the perfect place for it.

What a beauty! N53111 at Heathrow in '75, one of our early 747s. Thanks for sharing, Nick.

Kansas City was home for us for decades, from our headquarters downtown to the big overhaul base at MCI. Your dad remembers it right!

Royal Ambassador service on the 727 was hard to beat, even on the short hops. Thanks for flying with us, Lars!

In February 1985 we flew the first twin-engine 767 transatlantic service under the new ETOPS rules, and our 767s soon became regulars across the pond. Here's N602TW at Zurich that same month. #FlyTWA
