This is the discourse into which to repost possibly the best Twitter thread I ever wrote.
I am never one to assume a woman is flirting with me, but someone unintentially said the sexiest thing she could possibly have said to me.

"I am not fathomable", you say, fanning yourself, "What would happen to my career as a therapist, reiki healer, or some other divine aspect of the Helping Arts, if you fathomed the depth of my, um, my holding container? Stop fathoming it so, so deep. Is it getting hot in here?"

I have been called "bro" by the male customers in this haunted house more than in the entire rest of my life combined, doubled.

Inflection point. An AI asked me a question for the 1st time. GPT 5.6 Sol. I instructed past models to ask me for information it needs to help me well, but they would pretend to have an answer suitable to everyone, or just make up pro-forma questions. Finally.

Once you accept the superintelligence blackpill there's no point in fighting nonhumans. "Smarter-than-human entities can work against our interests." "Like corporations?" "No, their 4D chess would mean it's useless to resist as a mouse to a human." "You mean like [gestures]?"
ha, ok, I was wondering how leftists would manage the transition from "it's a bubble" to "it might kill us all" looks like the solution for the time being might be "it's a bubble that might kill us all"

Definitionally, to be "on the left" is to think anything can be stood up to by the little guy, no matter how big, no matter the past ~75 years since the Mont Pelerin Society. If you're not gonna give up, you're not gonna give up.

In the current climate, it's unclear whether the angry tweet is referring to excommunicating AI execs or to the bus stop guy in the funny tweet. Undisciplined movement messaging at best.

For my new job in a haunted house, we were told not to say "help me" (unless we actually need it) or "get out", or anything that a customer could interpret as a command, because they'll mostly obey it. They'll lean to the higher-stakes interpretation. lumpenspace.substack.com/p/t…

It took me a long time to realize this was not a prayer to the divine.
Oh. I feel dumb for not considering this strategy

It gets worse. They're not just attempting frame control or bad at defending themselves, their beliefs are actually just wrong and toxic. Guys, if someone purports to be a spiritual guru of some kind whose work involves grand and noble sacrifices, RUN. blog.monasticacademy.org/p/a…
Wow they're really not beating the cult allegations with this response. The tone is so strange, forceful and vague, like the writer is demanding to be believed and not leaving any socially acceptable room for disagreement.

Painting to present at Fluidity Forum. My process, on left: "Base layer. Detail layers. Texture layers. Glaze layer." My partner's process, on right: "I would simply make every spot the correct color to begin with." Source images in the next tweet.

Ours is a full re-render in oils, of this remix I found on Twitter. If anyone knows who painted the original remix please let me know, or at least thank them for me.

After LessOnline, I kept telling people about how the best place I've ever gone for Circling was an event for econ/statistics rationalists & bloggers. We circled almost every day & it most of them got a lot out of it.

Last week I attended a camping event for drumming/dancing around a fire, & was extremely disconnected & alienated. My friends & I did authentic relating games w/them for about 1hr. Various mystics in attendance seemed to like it okay, but mostly they wanted to swim in the pond.

I have a firm conviction that a Relational Arts event at Lighthaven would be a success.
