Today with @LukGolebiewski after 2 weeks of heavy battles, we've finally managed to remove horrible memory leaks in our Haskell application.
Kudos to @bgamari for 1 hour of mentoring and David Eichmann for his "Understanding Memory Fragmentation" blog post.
What a ride that was!

I am trying to find a guy who helped me with Dynamic Programming when I was 15. His name is Laszlo Petervari, he used to live in Uzhgorod and probably moved to Budapest. I want to thank him a lot. He sent me books that were helpful and inaccessible for me at a time.

In Big Sur Apple decided to exempt many of its apps from being routed thru the frameworks they now require 3rd-party firewalls to use (LuLu, Little Snitch, etc.) 🧐
Q: Could this be (ab)used by malware to also bypass such firewalls? 🤔
A: Apparently yes, and trivially so 😬😱😭

In the UK the number of cases rose rapidly.
But the public – and authorities – are only learning this now because these cases were only published now as a backlog.
The reason was apparently that the database is managed in Excel and the number of columns had reached the maximum.

(1/2) Out running this morning on a new route and a lady runs past me.
Despite only passing, when I get home @Strava automatically tags her in my run. If I click on her face it shows her full name, picture and a map of her running route (which effectively shows where she lives)
