Do you have cystic fibrosis or care for someone who does? Are you a CF healthcare professional? Are you interested in helping develop scanning technology for the benefit of people with CF? If so, we need your help! We are holding discussion groups to understand how people interpret lung magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans & to generate ideas for how to support the communication of scan results in CF care. Click the link in this post to find out more and get involved. Your contribution will help to support the use of the technology in CF. The MAGNIFY Strategic Research Centre has been funded by the CF Trust to explore the use of lung MRI in CF care. Lung MRI can help in the monitoring and management of CF, as well as in testing new inhaled treatments. Lung cancer is one of the most common and serious types of cancer. Early diagnosis and treatment can save lives. Find more information: nhs.uk/lung-cancer
Eight symptoms of lung cancer; A cough that lasts for 3 weeks or more. An ache or pain when breathing or coughing. A long-standing cough that gets worse. Persistent breathlessness. Chest infections that keep coming back. Persistent tiredness or lack of energy. Coughing up blood. Loss of appetite or unexplained weight loss. The title reads 'What are the signs and symptoms of lung cancer?" An additional sentence reads "See a GP if you're experiencing any of the symptoms.'
