It’s more than a year since I first tackled Lineker. Since then I’ve watched him becoming ever more radicalised the point where he’s using rat imagery for Zionists.
My piece starts:
‘It has been interesting watching the online radicalisation of Gary Lineker. It’s just two years since the footballer turned political activist was condemning the government for using “language that is not dissimilar to that used by Germany in the 30s.”
Yesterday he shared an image of a rat accompanying a video decrying the evils of Zionists, which is very much language that is not dissimilar to that used by Germany in the 1930s.
His posts since the October 7 Hamas attack have been leading to this moment – this ultimate unmasking – as he has carefully pushed the boundaries not only of the fabled and false “BBC neutrality” and of its social media rules (rules that he says he helped to write) but of how much polite society is willing to tolerate in terms of public anti-Semitism.
He’s shared calls for Israel to be banned from international sport and has decried how the BBC “capitulated to lobbying” by taking down a documentary which featured the son of a Hamas official. In the last few days alone – as the football season and his official stint on Match of the Day comes to a close, he has ramped it all up again.
Last Thursday he posted a clip on his Instagram feed comparing Israelis to Nazis. On Saturday he posted one calling Zionists “the most antisemitic people in the world right now” and on Sunday another which said “it didn’t start on 7/10.”And then came the rats.
I once told Gary to his face that he was acting like an anti-Semite. He appeared appalled at this idea so I challenged him to make a post about the Israeli hostages being held by Hamas just to show that he understood that they were humans too. He still hasn’t.’

Having looked the other way until now, at this point, it is clear that Gary Lineker’s continued association with the @BBC is untenable.
He must go.
Mr Lineker really has the worst luck when it comes to campaigning for his causes without aligning himself with extremists and antisemites. Not only does this video deliberately misrepresent Zionism — the belief that Jews have the same right to self-determination as everyone else — but it adds a rat emoji in doing so.
Perhaps Mr Lineker is not as naive or accident-prone as he might like us to believe. As the BBC’s highest-paid presenter and owner of a major media enterprise, maybe he knows exactly what he’s doing.
We will be submitting a complaint to the BBC over this latest post.

BREAKING: A Shin Bet agent arrested during the Gaza war has confessed to being a Hamas double agent who actively deceived Israeli intelligence on the eve of the October 7 massacre, Channel 12 News reports.
The agent revealed during interrogation that on the critical night of October 6-7, when the Shin Bet contacted him about emerging warning signs, he deliberately provided false reassurance: "There is no offensive preparation by Hamas, I know, I am updated." This deception came at a crucial moment when Hamas operatives were already mobilizing for the dawn attack that would kill over 1,200 Israelis.
According to security sources, this agent was specifically positioned to alert Israel of any impending Hamas attacks. His false report was interpreted as a "weakening signal" that significantly contributed to Israel's fatal misassessment that no attack was imminent, despite multiple warning indicators emerging throughout the night.
This confession validates Hamas's claims about successfully infiltrating Israel's intelligence apparatus. Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs report revealed this past month that senior Hamas officials had boasted about exposing an Israeli spy network in 2017 and turning captured agents into double operatives. These officials claimed in February 2025 interviews that the double agents were integral to their "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation, deliberately feeding false information to create a false sense of security.
The revelation is particularly damaging as Israel's High Court had previously identified cases of Hamas recruiting double agents in 2022, suggesting this vulnerability was known but inadequately addressed before the October 7 disaster.

They are basically called ‘monkeys’ and ‘slaves’ throughout the entire trip.
