At 9.15 on the morning of 21 October 1966, 150,000 tons of coal waste came off the mountain above Aberfan and buried Pantglas Junior School. Last day before half term. One hundred and sixteen children. Twenty eight adults. The village had been complaining about that tip since 1944. The Coal Board had no tipping policy and had never checked the spring underneath. The tribunal called it "a terrifying tale of bungling ineptitude by many men charged with tasks for which they were totally unfitted, of failure to heed clear warnings, and of total lack of direction from above." It added that it "could and should have been prevented". Nobody was prosecuted. Hold those three things. Warnings ignored. No direction from above. No consequences. That is the method of the British state and it has not moved an inch. Grooming gangs. Casey's audit found abuse in 149 local authority districts, close to forty per cent of the country. The inquiry does not report until March 2029. In June the first batch of closed cases went back to police. Eight of them. Insulation. Thirty thousand homes fitted badly. The minister in charge, Miatta Fahnbulleh, told Parliament it was "systemic failure". £44m went missing. Four people arrested in April. In July she was promoted to Energy Secretary. Twelve thousand people a year arrested for what they posted. And the Prime Minister says nothing about any of it. He does not have to. The wreath does the work. On Monday he laid it. This morning he posted: "Today, I stand with Aberfan. I stand with the people of Aberfan, and I stand with the community as we honour the memory of all those that were lost." Three stands. No country. While he was there he said coal tip safety was "of critical importance". There are 2,600 disused tips in Wales. Round Our Way rates 350 of them high risk. There were landslips at Tylorstown in 2020 and Cwmtillery in 2024. The Welsh Government's own estimate to make them safe is at least £600m. £80m has been allocated. Ninety three days in. He became Prime Minister first and will reveal the policies second. The Budget is in seven days and the Chancellor is going to the banks. Aberfan was 144 people let down by men with a total lack of direction from above. Sixty years on, that is still the job description. The only difference is that the Coal Board got a tribunal. This lot get a wreath.

Kay Burley has spoken. Five words. "Kudos to the camera operator." That is the contribution. From a woman who spent thirty six years in front of a camera, on the mental fitness of the President of the United States. Not an argument. A nod to the man holding the lens. Sit down, Kay. Let us look at the record. Thirty six years at Sky. Suspended for six months for breaching the very Covid rules she reported on. Made Peter Andre cry on live television. Told the country that David Cameron had put on weight. Asked a serial killer's ex whether the sex had been good enough. Mixed up names in the tributes. Misused the aubergine emoji. And now she is the judge of who looks mentally sound. The woman who could not keep her own sixtieth birthday legal is diagnosing a man for waving at a helicopter. Trump waved at nothing. Kay threw a party and got grounded for six months. Kudos to the camera operator. At least somebody in the building knew where to point it.

Our national debt has just hit £3 trillion. We were told by the "grown ups" in both parties that putting up taxes, Net Zero and high immigration would bring the debt down. This is the counterfactual of what I sought to do in the Mini-Budget. And it has been a disaster.

I just attended the Reform UK rally in Plymouth and it was absolutely electric!⚡️ I saw and heard directly from Nigel Farage himself, Robert Jenrick & Danny Kruger ➡️ Members and councillors from Cornwall, Devon and the wider UK all came together to hear from our leadership 🙌

The Commons is proving to be a toothless tiger. The politicians are merely toothless actors until we get a regime change. We haven't had regime change since Thatcher It's all been Blairism. The Tories clapping like seals at Kemi's rehearsed comebacks and nothing changes. Meanwhile The unaccountable unelected civil service, get on with THEIR policies, THEIR ideas that our dull lacklustre cabinet and both sides of the House present as their own . 🤦 Everything is getting more expensive, people living lesser lives whilst politicians waffle on and get handsomely paid. We need a general election If you think The Tories are still conservative .. You seriously need to get with it! Don't chew your own leg off at the ballot box The Tories haven't even tried to defeat Cultural Marxism, they handed power to the people who are growing it!

I genuinely don't understand how thousands have been slaughtered in the most brutal of ways and nobody seems to care.
Don’t stop talking about the mass slaughter of Christians by Islamists in Nigeria.

Woman says she was “brainwashed for the first 30 years of my life.” After seeing the France riots, she’s awake “Unfortunately, being a stark Lefty my whole life. All I used to do was scream, open the borders, free the refugees. But when you import the third world, you get the third world What's happening in France and Milan — If you don't draw the parallels and see what is happening at this point, you are absolutely brainwashed. And don't worry, I was brainwashed too. I was brainwashed for the first probably 30 years of my life, and now I've come to realize that that was all part of the plan as well. Prey on the empathy and kindness of those that care, give them a cause to fight for, and then everything else blindly goes out the window” “But luckily I've woken up, and you really need to start questioning yourself and your empathy and who is co-opting your empathy. Who is taking it for their own regime - the world being mad at the moment was predicted and is by design” I just want to say one thing, Isn’t it interesting how when you see people talk like this, that say they’ve “woken up,” it’s ALWAYS a Leftist realizing they were wrong and turning to the Right It is literally never the other way around The Left is brainwashed and has their empathy weaponized to destroy themselves

I’m hoping today Andy Burnham will answer the most important questions facing Britain today. Like how does he pronounce scone? Jam or cream first? Does he hang his toilet roll over or under? His thoughts on people who queue in a single file at the bar? Much anticipation awaits.

This is what Sarah Helm posted as our family were being held hostage in their own home in their own country by Hamas. At best this sounds like whitewash of terrorism, at worst justification. Sickening.

"Reform absolutely obsessed with the riots in France!" Bless. Now, Mike. Sit down. Let us look at this together. You are the MP for Dover. The boats land in your patch. You were the immigration minister until you were sacked, reportedly for writing in The Times without permission. If anyone should understand why people watch France and worry, it is you. So you looked at the burning cars, the fireworks, the crowds, and decided the people who noticed are "obsessed". Obsessed, Mike, or informed? Dover is not obsessed. Dover is waiting. "They hate our country with a passion." Do they? Reform want to change it because they love it. You want to change it and call anyone who agrees a hater. Then, one word, all on its own: "Reject." A sacked minister closing the matter with a full stop. Still. Nice tweet. There's a good lad.

🚨 Huh? … Burnham wants to join the EU’s internal electricity market (which we don’t need to do! ) … But Brussels wants something mental in return. It wants payment for electricity market access. But it also wants a PERMANENT financial contribution from British taxpayers to help reduce ‘economic inequality between EU regions’ Yes, you read that correctly…. Even though we aren’t in the EU they are demanding we fund poorer countries so we can be as poor as them! WE VOTED TO LEAVE I can’t believe this is happening.

Government chief security advisor Jonathan Powell's Palestine Action-supporting wife here busy digging her husband's professional grave. Her Hamas apologist social media posts have made his position untenable. This can't go on, Powell will have to step down.
Julia Hartley B really takes the biscuit doesn’t she? Just watched her trilling along calling me a Hamas supporter and anti sémite as if she got me all banged to rights and the spectacled chap with her nods along I mean who is this creature? Seriously ?
