Our #fisheries team have been at a fishery near #Worcester where we have caught a sample of perch, roach & bream for a health check at @FishLab_EA

We had this unusual find reported to us, found in a garden! It’s a #NonNative #snakehead, ID’d as a Giant snakehead, #Channa #micropeltes. A discarded pet fish that was picked up & subsequently dropped by an avian predator. Please don’t dump pet fish into the wild! #FishSci
