Partially informed and fully biased Dolphins commentary. Just happy I wasn’t born a Jets fan.

To put a fine point on it, one of the big issues for Miami is they bought a scrambling quarterback, who is scrambling, but then married him with a skill unit that thinks a scramble drill is something you order at Waffle House.
I don’t want to big that up or exaggerate it - it’s one aspect of what’s going wrong. But it’s an outsized aspect when you consider how often Malik Willis is scrambling.
And we can debate about whether there are turn-downs happening in the progressions (there are, but in 5 games I could count the number of them I’ve found on 1-2 hands), or just overall wondering if Willis has to scramble as often as he does. Perfectly valid question.
But he is, and it’s part of who he is, so from a planning standpoint you always knew this was an aspect of the offense’s coaching that you needed to emphasize greatly.
And yet all thru camp he was kind of told not to run. Which makes me wonder.

TSM’s new interactive Taiwan Arms Sales Backlog Tool is now live! The tracker lets users explore the backlog month by month, break outstanding sales down by capability type, and follow individual cases from congressional notification through contracting, partial delivery, and completion.
As of today, Taiwan’s backlog stands at $29.72 billion across 28 open cases. Users can trace how that total has accumulated over time, view reported delivery timelines and major milestones, and see which systems have begun arriving—and which ones are taking the longest to ship.

Every Dolphins fan should be hoping that Malik Willis becomes a clear cut franchise QB so that Miami can seize on the desperation of a QB needy team, trade down a couple spots for more picks and take Jeremiah Smith.
Went for a walk with the missus this AM. Absolute belter of coffee in hand. Stress-free loss today at 4:25. Let’s have a Sunday!

There's been a lot of performative reactions to Miami's 53-man roster & the idea that suddenly this is a bad team. Where have you been for eight months?? Rebuilds done right are quick, and finally we're on the right track. My latest for @DolphinsTalk

Love this mindset
Jon-Eric Sullivan on QB development:
"I don't think you can ever have enough quarterbacks.
I love arm strength and athleticism, but if you can process the game and play quick, and throw an accurate, catchable ball, you have a chance to play in this league.
In Green Bay, I was there when we had Brett (Farve), drafted Aaron (Rodgers) - he sat for three years, where he could watch Brett every day and get coached up. We did the same thing with Jordan (Love).
(Every QB we bring in) won't all work out. But when you feel like people - especially quarterbacks - have talent, you bring them in, coach them up, let it simmer and you see what you've got down the road."

If you need a reason to check out my weekly Dolphins OL grading/film review videos - take a look at this.
James Ester had the lowest game grade of the preseason and didn't make it to the final cut down day.
Of the remaining 8 reserve linemen - my top 3 preseason grades were the same top 3 that remain on the roster.
I don't pretend to know everything about offensive line play or that I know exactly what's going on inside the meeting rooms - but I've gotten pretty good at this.

As for the DBs, Taylor is a 5-9 undrafted corner from Purdue who has been on and off KC and Denver practice squads the past three years. .. Dial, a 6-0 corner, was a 6th rounder of Patriots in 2024. Missed last season with torn ACL... Fins already had 5 CBs before these claims.
