EU Ambassador Michael Mann said: "What happened here was not a battle. It was not resistance. It was a massacre of civilians inside their homes. A heinous crime against humanity."

Hyökkääjän motiivia ei ole vielä selvitetty, mutta teko näyttää kohdistuneen nimenomaan israelilaisia siviilejä kuljettaneeseen matkustajakoneeseen, mikä tekee tapauksesta erityisen vakavan.
Hyökkääjä yritti saada 174 ihmistä kuljettaneen koneen putoamaan. Katastrofi vältettiin vain matkustajien ja miehistön poikkeuksellisen rohkeuden ja kekseliäisyyden ansiosta.

Yesterday, Amb Nina Nordström had the privilege to visit two Bedouin villages in the Negev. Many are unrecognized and under eviction threats and due to their status often lack necessary services. Despite the similarities, each village is distinct in its tradition and culture.
