Someone on here said that the stupid #Lanterns takes on social media are proof that we’re not ready for projects that don’t hold your hand and explain every action in detail but I disagree.

Are people really incapable of understanding that Hal breaking a suicidal family cycle because of his innate will power just further enhances him as a character and as a Green Lantern?
Episode 7 ending with kid Hal picking up the ball his father told him to throw away because it’s “exhausting” to hold onto it, sub-textually being a metaphor for living and how at some point it’s not worth it, is really damn good writing especially if it suggests what we think it does for the finale.

A lot of this biphobia also seems to be rooted in straight women wanting their male partners to strictly adhere to a masculine gender role in a relationship and I find this perhaps more concerning than the homophobic aspect.
