Matt Hancock tried to blame care home staff for bringing covid into care homes. What a lying bastard. Lock him up.

.@LonTravelWatch wants to see a halt to floating bus stops;
Most of the London Assembly want floating bus stops halting;
The Government’s disabled transport advisory committee wants to see them halted;
The Tory Party want them halted
The RNIB want them halted;
Guide Dogs want them halted;
Pocklington Trust want them halted;
The National Federation for the Blind UK and 290 other groups want them halted.
@Heidi_Labour installed some of these schemes and wants to solve the problem ‘in the round’ but has failed to do so.
The @MayorofLondon says it’s important to consult and it’s the cyclist fault, not the design.
This is a balanced statement from the always thoughtful @LonTravelWatch on the need to rethink floating bus stops in London.
I support their calls and I hope TfL and boroughs will take heed.

When all vehicles are forced to take the same routes because LTNs have shut off quicker access routes we get gridlock and increased air pollution. Journey times are longer, burning more fuel. We knew this would happen.

This scheme is a good one from @hackneycouncil, though because @Willnorman closed off motors turning left at Dalston junction it’s going to cause opposition and problems. If you are closing down minor streets you have to have a functioning primary network.
The cycling project continues to divide & antagonise people & endanger pedestrians/riders while failing to cut car use. Sutton’s row is just the latest. mylondon.news/news/south-lon… @Heidi_Labour @APPGCW @activetraveleng @WALKwheelcyclet @willnorman @Chris_Boardman @Itsdanny_again

@andyburnham cracks down on headphone dodgers with £100 fines.
While we all agree that playing loud music and talking loudly while using public transport is annoying, floating bus stops are DANGEROUS and therefore a priority, but clearly not for Andy!
