Simon Lööf will lead Hunter Lee Hughes’ psychological thriller ‘THE GOOD DARK,’ which recently wrapped production.
He plays Jacob, a volatile and revenge-driven young man whose arrival fractures the stability of a grieving household.
Also starring Sherilyn Fenn and Ray Wise.
An interesting irony of David Fincher’s terrific film THE KILLER is that Fincher uses his signature precision to chronicle the limitations of precision. That’s one reason we chose it as one of the most interesting films of 2023. #fincher #film Link:

Just over a year ago, we released a video explaining the #filmfinance term called, “The Waterfall” and it feels great to know that it’s slowly grown to 1,000 views. Feels good to - little by little - empower #indiefilm folks with knowledge:

We all obsess about crucial work relationships: how you handle your #boss or direct reports. But did you know it is your relationship with the security guard, the cafeteria worker that may make the biggest difference to your health...and #career progress? bit.ly/3EjN0jv
We had so much fun getting to know @mj_shaar and creating a video with an accusation audit hook that aspires to allow target audiences get a feel for MJ and to give her expertise a chance to work for their organization.
"Face it, MJ!!! Positive psychology is too fluffy for the real world!" Okay. Let's go there. My video response. #PositiveVibes #positivity bit.ly/3uxRpKo
Favorite shot: Stranger than Paradise. From a static wide to a two-shot to a three-shot moving in a vehicle. That's how you do low-budget! #inspiredby #favoriteshots #jarmusch #filmmaking buff.ly/33LhLOB
Favorite Shots: The Double Life of Veronique. Sometimes it's not the construction or lighting of a close-up that makes it so brilliant, but how long they stay on it. #inspiredby #filmmaking #favoriteshots buff.ly/3BLwc1v
Favorite shots: Central Station. Especially when we've gotten to know characters whose dire circumstances have thwarted their hopes and dreams, a sudden wide shot can be the vista of hope that feels so very right. #inspiredby #filmmaking #favoriteshots buff.ly/3H8TIGY
Favorite Shots: Tender Mercies. The brilliance of this shot is in allowing a conversation that forwards the #plot to happen off camera while only seeing the reaction of the character who'll be most affected by the resulting decision. #inspiredby #film buff.ly/33Kb13o
On film research for directors: So there’s a duel deep-dive going on - exploring the symbols and landscape of our human nature AND figuring out the ways that movies communicate. #amwriting #filmmaking #directorslife buff.ly/3hfUkzO
Favorite Shots: Nights of Cabiria. Great directors not only know the technical capabilities of their camera and lens, but also the power of blocking: how it can alter a shot with effortless confidence. Plus, it's so fun. #inspiredby #favoriteshots #film buff.ly/3rSNmqS
One of the biggest changes on the development side of the industry is an indie filmmaker's ability to attach so-called "name talent" without making an offer backed by proof of funds. #amwriting #filmmaking #developmenthell buff.ly/3ppO3X6
Getting a Movie Made - 2002 vs. 2022. How has the #development side of the entertainment business changed? And what does that mean for indie filmmakers and screenwriters pitching their projects? #amwriting #filmmaking #writerslife #actorslife buff.ly/3ppO3X6
It's not yet time to censor yourself based on budget and resources. Go ahead and write that new scene, even if the logistics part of your brain objects. #amwriting #writerslife buff.ly/3BKisnZ
Favorite Shots: City Lights. It's not the framing or lighting of a close-up that makes it a great shot, it's using the power of human expression at the exact right moment for precision impact to the heart. #inspiredby #favoriteshots #filmmaking #citylights buff.ly/2O17thR
You’ll need an inner Dreamer or Idea Man to generate ideas. You’ll need the kid inside you – an Enthusiast – to stay inspired. You’ll need a Fixer to address problems, an Optimist to keep a bright attitude, with a Mystic to answer the spiritual challenges. buff.ly/3LTB9dp
Favorite Shots: Ikiru. When slight camera movement and precision blocking re-purpose a shot from establishing to two-shot to revealing close-up. #inspiredby #ikiru #favoriteshots #filmmaking buff.ly/3LDUSh8
For filmmakers, watching films is an encounter with someone else’s dream that helps you decode your own. After all, a movie is a dreamlike encounter with the director’s emerging shadow, longing to be integrated. #jung #dreams #amwriting buff.ly/3hfUkzO
